TO TRACY K. RE: TUESDAYThank you Tracy for reminding us about Tuesday as being the day of His return on Rosh Hashanah. Been thinking about this after your alert this morning. Tuesday is indeed the third day of the week. Sunday being the first day of the week. At Sinai, Moses was told to have the people washed and "ready against the third day, in the morning", which is when they heard the loud voice/trumpets, which they feared, and turned away from. But we are told in Hebrews that we should see that we do not refuse Him who calls from the heavens, like they did at Sinai. Perhaps this coming call from the heavens will also happen on "the third day", for which we "prepare" ourselves. I am also wondering if this third day, Christ will arrive in the "morning", like the assembling of the people at Mt. Sinai. Pentecost was a morning happening (9:00 a.m.). Jerusalem time is now some six hours ahead of us here in the midwest - you can check on this at the major-city world clock at:

so that would be about 2-3 a.m. for me. No wonder the virgins are asleep! The deciples failed Jesus at His hour of need when He was arrested, and He said to His sleeping deciples, "the Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak". Then again, we have the "midnight" scenario also to watch for. Will I get any sleep at all from the 3rd-5th of October?
The third day has telescoping aspects; three literal 24-hour days, three years, three weeks, and three 1000-year days. Since our Lord's Kingdom is to commence at the beginning of the "third" day of Israel's healing according to Hosea, then the third day applies here as well.
In oriental wedding arrangements, the bride would prepare herself for three days, starting on Sunday, and often the wedding itself was on a Wednesday. That would mean He could indeed come for His bride on midnight of the third day, and the wedding take place "the next day", as with Boaz and Ruth; he woke her up at midnight, and Naomi said, "he will not finish this day (the next day) until the matter be settled". Ruth had made preparations to lay at the feet of Boaz, so she may well have taken three days to do that. Also Boaz's heart was merry as he slept near his harvest of barley, so this is definitely a harvest scene, and Ruth apparently hung around "until the wheat harvest".
I will think on this further today,,,,but for now Tracy - thanks so much !
My prayers are with you all who are heavy of heart for various reasons. I KNOW He will be here soon. Please keep Him in your thoughts constantly and our prayers will reach Him on your behalf. It has been a very hard summer for so many born-again and watching Christians, including myself over the last 18 months of very heavy trials. I recall that this last spring, we on the Doves' board were all so enthused and "filled" with what seemed to me to be an out-pouring of His Holy Spirit. Now remember, that it is the latter rain, that brings to maturity, the wheat harvest in the long hot summer months, during which the wheat must "endure", and ripen. Toward the end of the ripening stage, the head on the stalk of the wheat becomes heavier and heavier, with its fruit (grains). Eventually, the head droops over, as in prayer and submission to the Lord of the Harvest, who will arrive soon, to take His beloved harvest. He knows how hard our summer has been. He gave us a refreshing blast of His Spirit last spring, His latter rain, to help us through. What happens, you might ask, to the "tares" in that field, toward the end of the maturation process? Interestingly, the stalk of the darnel becomes taller and more rigid, and its head stays upright, almost as if the Lord wanted to show us the "uplifted, the proud, the rigid", and we stalks of wheat this last year have had many of those in our midst. Remember this-----our heads are bowed, we are ready to be taken, and the more the head is bowed, the more fruit (grain) that stalk of wheat has produced, and remember that Paul said "if we suffer with Him, we shall also reign with Him"..........I truly do so much feel for all of you with the various trials for I am there with you in every way,,,,,,,,but He will be here soon. GLORY !
Last night reading in the book of Revelation I was wondering about those 24 elders.....seems they have a very strong predilection for "fallilng on their faces"...they are always falling on their faces. I will look into this, Doves....
