"Re: Paul Wilson (3 Sep 2004) "bye free speech""

Paul,

Speech in the United States if more free than anywhere else in the world, but it has never been 100% free. Among the things that you cannot and should not be able to do is to falsely yell fire in a crowded theater and to threaten the president of the United States. Even an insinuated threat is not acceptable in the days we live in. There are plenty of better ways to dissent than to insinuate the death of President Bush by beheading, even as as absurd and colloquial as this particular threat was.
