In response to your question on other religions...don't we all worship the same God.  I used to believe that but no more.  Perception of who Jesus Christ is is pivotal to differentiating between cult and truth.  It truly is all about Him  Jesus said: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6).

Mormons (LDS) believe Jesus is the spiritual brother of satan and is not to be worshiped.  According to Mormon doctrine, Jesus Christ was not begotten by the Holy Ghost but was begotten by a sexual relationship between Mary and (a flesh and blood) God the Father.  In my Bible (New King James Version), Jesus is worshipped (Matt. 8:2; Matt. 14:33, Mark 5:6; Luke 24:52; John 9:38; Heb. 1:6) and conceived through the Holy Spirit (Math. 1: 18 & 20, Luke 1:25) .

Jehovah Witnesses believe Jesus is the archangel Michael.  They believe Christ's spiritual and invisible second coming took place in 1914, and that He has been ruling as king through the Watchtower Society.  Only 144,000 Jehovah Witnesses go to heaven.  Christ was not Michael because He created the angels (Colossians 1:16); no angel can be called God's Son (Hebrews 1:5); and no angel can rule the world (Hebrews 2:5).  Christ rules all as King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:16).

Muslims believe Jesus was just a prophet, in fact a lesser prophet than Mohammed.  To say that God had a son is considered blasphemy; their god never had a son nor a partner.  Allah is not viewed as "the Father" (Surahs 19:88-92, 112:3).  The crucifixion of Christ is viewed as a disrespectful doctrine; salvation is based on works.  The Bible verse that impacted me the most re the above was Isaiah 9:6:  "Unto us a Child is born; unto us a Son is given...and He shall be called: Wonderful Counselor (Holy Spirit), Prince of Peace (Jesus), (but also) Everlasting Father, and Mighty God."

  Hope this helps, Donna.
