"The Rapture and the feast of Tabernacles I"

Hi Everyone,

Paul informs us that the resurrection of the dead and the translation of the living will happen at the last trump. Many have debated exactly which last trump was Paul refering to. Was he refering to the trumpet blown during the feast of trumpets? Or was he refering to the seventh trumpet John saw blown in Revelation? I believe he was refering to NEITHER!

According to scripture the Last Trump will be blown on the seventh day of the feast of tabernacles.

For we read, "Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles SEVEN DAYS...and thou shalt REJOICE IN THY FEAST, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter...SEVEN DAYS THOU SHALT KEEP A SOLEMN FEAST UNTO THE LORD..." (Deut.16:13 - 15)

The word "solemn" in this verse comes from the hebrew word "chagag" and it means to observe a festival, to celebrate, to dance,

In Numbers we read, "...in your SOLEMN DAYS...ye shall BLOW WITH THE TRUMPETS." (Num.10:10)

The word "solemn" in this v! erse comes from the hebrew word "mowadah"
which means a fixed time or season to gather an assembly for a definite purpose.

The feast of tabernacles is a solemn feast, a celebration, a festival. It occured over seven solemn (fixed) days. during each of those days a trumpet would sound for the gathering of the whole congregation.

I believe the last trumpet will sound on the seventh day of this feast, which is also the LAST DAY of the feast of tabernacles.

It is this "last day" Jesus is refering to when He said,

"And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which He hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the LAST DAY. And this is the will of him that sent me, that everyone which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY." (John 6:39,40)

And also when He said, "No man come to me , except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will! raise him up at the LAST DAY." (John 6:44)

Again we read, "Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life;and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY." (John 6:54)

Martha understood that the resurrection would happen on the last day, for she said.

"...I know that he (refering to Lazarus) shall rise again in the resurrection at the LAST DAY." (John 11:24)

The phrase "the last day" only occurs seven times in the entire bible. I have quoted five. The remaining two are found in the following verses.

We read in John,

"Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand...Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught...In THE LAST DAY, that GREAT DAY of the feast, Jesus stood and cried..." (John 7:2,14,37)

The last one is in Nehemiah,

"And they found written in the law which the Lord had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month...A! lso day by day, from the first day unto THE LAST DAY, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast SEVEN DAYS..." (Nehemiah 8:14,18)

When we understand that the Last Trumpet will sound on the Last Day, the rapture happening on the SEVENTH DAY of the feast of tabernacles is the only logical conclusion.

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMP: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead (ON THE LAST DAY) shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." (1Cor.15:52) (Words in bracket are mine)

Because the feast of tabernacles is a fixed season every year, this is when we should be watching for the Lord's coming. I believe Paul was referring to the LAST DAY of the feast of tabernacles when he said,

"But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that THAT DAY should overtake you as a thief." (1Thess.5:4)

How can "that day" overtake us when we KNOW ITS THE SEVENTH DAY OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES?

For I know, for instance, that in 2004, 2005 or 2006 the Last Day of the feast of tabernacles fall on the 6th, 24th and 13th of October respectively.

These are the ONLY days I will be watching for the coming of the Lord during these years. I don't believe that Jesus will come for His Body, the Church, on just any day.

We understand from scripture that Jesus Christ is the FIRST BORN from the dead. He now has a Glorified Body from His Heavenly Father.Even though we are born of God, as regards to our human spirits, we are not with regards to our human bodies. We still have the physical bodies we've inherited from our earthly parents. This will change when we receive our glorified bodies from our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ on the Last Day! Hallelujah!

"...Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the FIRST BEGOTTEN (BORN) from the dead..." (Rev.1:5)

We know from scripture that Jesus Christ was born from the dead on the feast of firstfruits. This was 3 days after Passover. This is why Paul refers to Jesus as "...the firstfruits of them that slept (have died)..." (1Cor.15:20)

The Father spoke the following prophetic words through David in refering to Jesus, "Thou art my Son, TODAY HAVE I BEGOTTEN THEE" (Heb. 5:5)

The point I am trying to make is that the Father declared before Heaven and Earth the birthday of His Son. It was on a FEAST DAY! THE FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS!

I believe the birthday of the Body of Christ, the Church, will also be on a FEAST DAY! THE LAST DAY OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES!

"For our conversation (citizenship) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His Glorious Body..." (Phil.3:20, 21)

Just as the feast of firstfruits represents the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the feast of tabernacles represents the resurrection of dead saints and translation of living saints.

Only our Heavenly Father knows the year in which Jesus Christ will fulfill the feast of tabernacles through the redemption of our bodies, until then lets continue to watch for his return every year during THE LAST DAY OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES.

Do remain blessed,

Ola.
