This confirms again to me that we must pray for the president. ND
Online PerspectiveThe War Is On Against George Bush Personally
Sep 11, 2004
It was so refreshing to see Joe Lieberman and John McCain co-sponsor a bill in Congress yesterday on television. I honestly believe that there are some honest Democrats in Congress that must be concerned at the all time manipulation of the current Presidential race. Mel Ziller is not alone. Many of the Democrats may not break rank, but if the Democrats continue to slide to the extreme left, many of the moderates and conservatives in the party will feel displaced. Read Mel Ziller's book NATIONAL PARTY NO MORE.
Many people are trying to figure out why there was no significant bounce after the Democractic Convention and a nice bounce after the Republican Convention. Although the pundents and spin doctors are telling us that August was just a bad disorganized lackluster month for John Kerry, let me speculate why the polls are now favoring Bush since the Republican Convention..
First, polls are not something I personally trust.
Second, polls may be used to affect future polls. Once people think others think a certain way, they may begin to think alike so as to be in agreement with the perceived popular opinion.
Third, in this Presidential season, many of us are reflecting feelings and opinions as we are being affected by media presentation and propaganda. For example, we get our information and news from the media or newspaper; either what we read, what we hear on radio or what we see on television. Polls may reflect what we are being told via the media. If you ever have the opportunity to surf the cable news and see how each station presents the same "current event" differently, depending on the political bias.
CNN? Somebody calls it the Clinton New Network. Paul Begala and James Carville who I believe continue to work for CNN are very active on the John Kerry campaign. Often, I have seen a brief presentation of Bush which says little to nothing about Bush's campaign and then a presentation of Kerry's campaign by making a substantive statement about what he feels about Bush and his proposals otherwise.
MSNBC? NBC and MSNBC seem to favor liberalism with the exception of a few of the programs such as Scarborough and Imus (not sure). Hardball? Chris Matthew badgers people who are conservative on his program. As Zel Miller told him during the Republican Convention, "All you are doing is presenting the John Kerry's talking points."
FOX NEWS is rising in popularity and with good reason. There are times when I feel foxed out (grin) and turn to the other stations, but I always appreciate Fox presenting both views on many of the issues directly by the people who hold those views. The conservative bias may be obvious to people in general, but at least Fox News attempts to present both sides.
Many of us form our opinion based on information we get from the media with little to no critical thinking. And media does not report only what is, but what they want us to see and usually in a way that they want us to see it. Unfortunately and pardon my jaded position, but news media tend to favor liberalism on the political spectrum.
On the first week of teaching my students at school, I asked them who would they vote for as the next President of the United States. I then asked my students to give me reasons why they would vote for that person. Many of my students began to merely repeat what they have heard their parents say. When I asked them where did their parents form their opinions, most of them were repeating what they heard on television or read in the newspapers or magazines. I suspected that so many of these polls are measuring the impact of propaganda on populations more than a genuine beliefs of the diverse public in our great nation.
What happened in August and why did Bush get a bounce?
Either because people were filled with the propaganda of the Republicans on television as reported by press and media, or people saw for themselves the George Bush they once remembered. I personally think the latter. After reading so much against George Bush, it was so easy for me even to neutralize my support of this man while many others have begun to turn against him. Propaganda is absolutely powerful. Propaganda is the politico-psychological term for perception.
Either because the Republicans put out good propaganda or because the people saw for themselves the man they once thought was weak and average in intelligence, a man who rose to the level of a commander-in-chief after 9/11.
Now prepare for the assault against Bush. While I respect Christians who remain Democrats, I am confident that Bible-believing Christians must realize that the current Democratic Party has gone so far left that it has left moderates and conservatives behind AND PROUD OF IT.
Brace yourself. . . the political propaganda begins! While Kerry is offended by the attack against his record, he will address and encourage others to attend Bush's record or the lack thereof.
While genuine veterans disagree with Kerry's version of his own heroism, Kerry always connect what others do as if George Bush is doing it and responds by associating independent views that can become vicious in intent as a Bush event. Kerry or his friends will then proceed by saying the ugliest thing against Bush because they have propagandize the opposition as an association to the Bush campaign.
We will now see an all-out kind of terrorism employed by those whose first interest is to remove Bush. This is more than a disagreement of those who are hawkish in his administration with intent to bring about an American Empire by the propaganda of terrorism and the strategy to invade one another at a time with this disguise. If we believe that George Bush has bought into this American Empire-Building Mentality, then we will oppose Bush as a dangerous person. Maybe that view should be considered. But, the bounce in favor of George Bush has come about because more people end up trusting the man than doubting him whenever people hear him for themselves, in my opinion.
Where does Biblical prayer come in?
We who pray pray against propaganda and manipulation based on bias and political dishonesty. Somebody said, politics has always been that corrupt, but there is something ominous about this election.
Either Bush is a real deceiver or as a man who loves God, he is so targeted by forces beyond radical liberalism.
You decide! But for those of us who believe in the honesty of this man and observe the character and elegance of his wife, we pray for his protection during this season. The hatred against George Bush is as strong as a murder! Watch the 9/11 anniversary and how no matter what is said about the anniversary, somehow it will make Bush look bad and evil as if he himself concocted this ominous horror. Watch the propaganda on 9/11 come alive.
Every imaginable accusation against Bush will be forthcoming. . . And while critical thinking Americans may reject the notion, the trust factor is what is affected. Even when we say we do not believe the rumor, doubt is still the result in the way we respond unconsciously.
It's time to pray for George Bush! He's more than a man re-running for the office of THE PRESIDENCY OF THE UNITED STATES. He is either one of the biggest deceivers in American history or he is a man who speaks the truth and how he truly feels honestly and thus creates forces of opposition.
In either case, PRAY! If there is ever going to be a spirit of terrorism in a different way, it will be the beheading of someone in the family or the man who currently holds the oval office. The hate in America against George Bush will be a port of entry for a specific terrorism against the White House.
No paranoia intended, but these are urgent days. There are many days where I feel a weeping in my spirit for George Bush. When I heard him speak at the Republican Convention, I felt he was being honest and forthright. As I spoke earlier as if God said, OBSERVE THE WAY HE DEALS WITH HIS OPPOSITION and this tells a lot about his character!
Just thinking out loud.
