CBS was not snookered.  I cannot believe anyone would believe that baloney.  Mary Mapes has been working on this story for FOUR years!  CBS and the DNC were well aware of Bill Burkett.  He has long been a Bush hater and he is well know among Travis County Democrats.  The Kerry campaign had already released stories in April questioning President Bush's military record and it had no legs...so it is apparent that Mary Mapes and Joe Lockhart devised a plan to make the story HAVE LEGS.   CBS was not duped.  THEY WERE CAUGHT.  Rathergate is criminal.  Who forged the documents?  Why did this story come out at the same time as the "favored son" ads?  hmmm
