The Bible expands much effort to define idolatry and, as I'm certain, many Doves will inform you, it presents many reasons why humanity does not worship the same Most High God, who revealed Himself in the OT to be the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. So, you either believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God or you believe it is simply the compilation of various ancient scripts be they fact or fiction.

You might also consider that this same Triune God we Christians worship sent His Son to die for man, and then resurrected Him as the firstfruit of those who will be resurrected to eternal life due to their belief in His Son. Allah, in contrast, seems to demand that  men die for him and promises a reward of virgins in paradise for their sacrifice. Does God offer different strokes for different folks? Hardly. There is only one absolute truth. Finally, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. If you sincerely study the Scriptures, you will understand that our God is not the god of deception - that is Satan's domain.
