"Re: Amazing Arab Editorial"
Dear John & Doves...
ND's post of Ahmed Al-Jarallah was inspiring and I thank
ND for sending it in.
I did want to offer a 'PS' to that editorial before the
accusations begin that
President Bush is some kind of egomanical, conceited,
full of pride person
due to his "I make the history" comment.
Unfortunately for the Bush-haters, the "I make the history
comment" was made
in the context of a question posed by Time magazine as
to how Bush viewed the
war on terror, and Bush responded that he was basically
the guy making history,
and that HISTORIANS would write that history years later.
For someone who is
pre-disposed to dislike or hate Bush, it would be easy
to take that comment out
of context to serve their own agenda. But taken
in the entire context of the Time
interview, it is clear what the President intended.
I am also pleased to see such factual and accurate rebuttals
of the latest rumor/
conspiracy theory to hit Five Doves regarding American
Airlines Flight 77 which
crashed into the Pentagon on 9/11. It amazes me that
clear thinking, seemingly
rational people will buy into such absurd conspiracy
theories when eyewitnesses
to the crash have given their testimony, saw the crash
occur, the families of the
passengers have suffered the loss of their loved ones,
and yet some individuals
are determined to refute that which is irrefutable. I
thank Jim Bramlett and Rick
Smith for their posts on this subject.
Regarding the never ending debate over whether to vote
for President Bush or
Senator Kerry?
Witness the sudden and rapid infusion of Clinton campaign
consultants, advisors
and staff into the woeful Kerry campaign organization
and ask yourself if we ought
to have any confidence in a political candidate like
Kerry who is now openly being
helped by the allies of the most corrupt and venal President
of the latter half of the
20th Century? The Clinton MisAdministration set
a record for scandals, indictments,
corruption and treasonous acts. It made the Nixon Administration
look like a Baptist
Boarding School. And Kerry is now taking advice
and employing the same people
that enabled Bill Clinton/Al Gore/Janet Reno in their
eight year reign of terror.
Imagine that.
A person is known for the company they keep.
Look who's keeping Kerry company now, and cast your vote
accordingly.

John Russell
