"Random Thoughts....continued..."
Dear John & Doves...
First of all, I hope that everyone might agree to spend
some time in Prayer, that God would consider it
within His Will to divert the latest Hurricane (Frances)
from it's current course, which could cause awful
damage to the States of Florida, Georgia and the Southeastern
region. I know that just as the Lord Jesus
made the winds and waves obey His Voice, it is only a
little thing for Him to cause any storm to change
course and depart without causing harm. If we all
'touch' (via this Forum) and agree, surely our God will
honor our prayers and we offer up those prayers not only
for the safety of those in harm's way, but for
the most important reason of all - that God Almighty
might be Glorified. AMEN.
Some other thoughts of mine today...
Like Marie Komar, I too have been having some random
musingws, and I agree wholeheartedly that there
seems to be what one might call "Miller Lite Christians",
Christians with all the taste, but none of the fruits
of the spirit. I likewise shake my head at the
idea that a Christian can proclaim themselves as being 'pro-
family' but then promote the idea of being 'pro-murder'
(I refuse to use the terminologies and trick words
utilized by the pro-abortion crowd. There is no such
thing as "pro-choice" because babies end up with
NO choice whatsoever, indeed they end up dead from the
homicidal-abortion procedure).
Now on the subject of TV evangelists, I believe that
one of the most evil and venal individuals today is the
so-called 'evangelist' Robert Tilton, who is the worst
promoter of the "prosperity" doctrine, pushing the idea
that God is nothing but a cosmic Santa Claus, existing
only to fill our pockets with cash, provide beautiful
homes and cars, and the very best of everything.
I believe that God does not wish for any of His children
to suffer needlessly, but let us be clear on something
- MANY of God's children are destined for suffering,
because their sufferings, coupled with their Faith in
Christ, will provide a powerful testimony to the lost and
most importantly, will Glorify God with their witness.
But getting back to Tilton, what kind of ministry is it that
pushes a book titled "How to be Rich and Have Everything
You Ever Wanted"...? I would prefer Tilton to be
promoting a book titled "How to be Saved and Be Assured
of Eternal Life in Christ Jesus". I tremble when I
consider the likely fate of Tilton's soul. I do not believe
that God is going to reward Tilton as Tilton might think.
