"China at G7 meeting for first time"

China to attend G7 meeting for first time on October 1 in Washington D.C.
Sept. 22 (Bloomberg) -- China will attend talks of the Group of Seven industrialized countries for the first time ..., reflecting the emerging importance of the world's biggest developing nation to the global economy, the U.S. Treasury said.

The dollar would have to fall about 20 percent on a trade- weighted basis to cut a U.S. current account deficit that widened to a record $166.2 billion in the second quarter, or 5.1 percent of the nation's $11.6 trillion economy, the Goldman Sachs economists said. Goldman said a ``sustainable'' level would be 3 percent of gross domestic product.
