YES Maggie-------I agree with U that we need to be on the watch ALWAYS because there is a potential that we can or could be led astray by the cunnings of Satan and by seducing spirits like Jezebel who seduces God's servants into sexual immorality--------"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" 1 Peter 5:8--------Jesus is basically saying in luke 21 what peter is exhorting in this verse and that is--------round the clock vigilance in order not to leave an open vacum for Satan to come in and lead us astray-------"For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts" 2 Tim 3:6------

Also-----it is very important for Jesus to give such warnings because ! most people do not search the scriptures as they ought to------they only feed off whatever their pastors say in the pulpit-------the Bereans are the only group that daily searched the scriptures---------"These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." Acts 17:11

--------The end-time bereans search and know the scriptures and can readily discern their Lord's coming without any problems but Jesus knew they will be very few just as always-----thus it was and is very important for Him to issue a general warning of all time readiness which is VERY imporatnt------specially in this hour.
