"A few answers"

Donna Cothren asked "What would Jesus do about conspiracy theories?" Well, when He was asked about the signs of His coming, He told the truth. He truthfully spoke of many disasters that will become fact at some point in time. He said that one generation will witness all these signs.Matthew 23:36 "Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation."

We are that generation. Why did He say this? To warn the people to repent or perish. In fact, the very first thing He pointed out to them was that the temple would be destroyed. Matthew 24:2 "And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down." Now to those who were sitting in His presence, that probably sounded about as improbable as the Twin Towers collapsing or the Titanic sinking. I don't doubt that many scoffed at His words.

The prophets of old did the same thing, though they were usually regarded as "fearmongers", ignored, and sometimes killed. People had no reason to believe life would not continue as always, and when confronted with a few individuals who were chosen by Almighty God to warn the people, the world usually ignored the warnings and perished. A prime example is Noah. No doubt during the 120 years that he worked on the ark he had many people deride him. After all, it had never rained upon the earth before his time. The earth was watered by the springs of the deep that came up and misted the earth. Genesis 2:6 " But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground." So why would they believe him when he said that great rains were coming upon the earth? 120 years, and I'm sure he was taunted by those who asked where the rains were.

Peter warned that we would be mocked as well. 2 Peter 3:3 - 7: "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men."

As for those who say I am obsessed or "fixated upon conspiracy theories" and should quit wasting my time and spend it praying for the unsaved or witnessing to the lost:
Do you know how I spend my time? Do you know how many hours each day I spend in prayer, often weeping for those who will perish? Do you know how many Bibles I have bought with my meager funds to give away to those who have no Bible of their own? Bibles they can read in their own language. Do you know how many people, including those illegal immigrants that so many despise, some from Muslim families, I have personally led to the Lord? Do you know how many people, some from this very board, to whom I have sent letters of encouragement, or money when they are needy? Do you know how many times I have taken someone to the hospital, bought them medicine, stayed with their children, comforted them when they were hurting?

Well I have no need to tell you because my Heavenly Father knows the answers to those questions. I am not trying to say, "Look at me and how good I am." I am not righteous, but my Father in heaven sees me as righteous because of the blood of Jesus that cleanses me from all sin. There are not enough hours in the day to accomplish all that I would like to do. I do not spend all my free time looking for one more conspiracy theory. Far from it. I homeschool, I work, I take care of my family's needs, and I do what the Father has called me to do in the little free time I have. Even so, it will never be enough. But one day I will hear Him say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." I hope you will hear the same thing, you who dare to judge me. God has not called me to go to China and preach, but He has called me to speak the truth and to point out deception and false teaching, much of which abounds in the churches and on Christian websites.
If my words of impending disasters, or deceptions, open up a conversation with a lost person, who is willing to listen to me speak of things that are not what the mainstream press says, and they are also willing to listen to me share about a Saviour who loves them and is willing that none should perish, then the criticisms I have endured will have been worth it. How would you self-righteous sanctimonious pharisees know how the Lord uses me? If I am being obedient to the Lord then who are you to judge me? Yes, you can look at my fruit and see if my life bears witness to the One whose name I am called by. And while I am speaking of names, I choose to call myself a "Christian", a follower of Jesus Christ. I would not be so foolish to select a name for myself that represents that which most of the unsaved world associate with Christians: a hypocritical, intolerant, manipulative, con - man  preacher. You know who you are, but then if you have a different approach to the lost that produces results, who am I to question your method? I hope it includes the Bible, because I don't recall seeing a single scripture to back up one thing you said.
As for fear: am I fearful of what I know is going on in the world? No, I am covered by the blood of Jesus. There is nothing that will happen to me that has not already been decided by Almighty God. I am fearful for those whose eyes are blinded by the god of this world, who will perish when sudden destruction comes upon them. I am fearful for those who know the truth but remain silent.  "For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." Heb 10:30-31. I am fearful for those servants who will hear the Master say, "Depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matt 7:23.
Praise God there are faithful servants whose eyes are opened and who do not remain silent in the face of mockery by those who think they know everything. Thank you Neil Lipkin, LouAnn Myers, His2Serv, DonnaDanna, Joe Hoyle, John Ford and others who are bold and obedient. "Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets." Luke 6:22-23.

Jesus told the Laodicean Church to buy eyesalve for their blind eyes. "And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see." Rev.3:14-18.

He was speaking to the CHURCH, folks, not the lost. Many Bible scholars will agree that the seven churches of Revelation correspond to the ages of the Church, and that the last age of the largely apostate and blind church is what we live in today. Those in the churches, some who visit and post at Christian message boards, are those He was referring to. He also warned us that there would be wolves amongst us. Well, you wolves can leave now. You have no authority here. You are of your father the devil, and what fellowship can light have with darkness? You know who you are, who pretend to speak words of flattery and smooth lies, but the Father in Heaven also knows who you are, and He has a special place reserved for you. Jesus spoke a great deal about the pharisees. See Matt. 23 to read about Jesus blasting them. Matthew 23:28 "Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity."

People who are ignorant often lash out at those who are educated because it makes them feel better in their own inferiority. Those with low self esteem, to borrow a word frequently heard in churches these days, tend to belittle those around them as it makes them feel better about themselves. The Bible warned us of these also: "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2 Tim.3:1-7.

The whole point behind telling others is to lead them to put their trust in the Lord. If we only tell others about the love of Jesus and neglect to mention the judgement that is to come, if we neglect to speak the truth about a righteous God who is about to unleash His wrath upon a wicked world, as so many "seeker-friendly" chuches are doing today, then we are only telling a half truth to the lost. The Lord did not mince words when he blasted the pharisees, and we can do no less, as He is our example. I challenge you folks that have stiffened necks to read some of the things that other Doves have lovingly pointed out. Are we all crazy? I think not. God will be our judge, but for those who persist in their stubborn blindness, there will be consequences."This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness." Eph 4:17-19.
There are those who want to know just exactly what we propose to do now. There is not much we can do except warn the people, lead them to the Lord, to trust in Him rather than men and their governments, and teach them how to prepare for eternity. For those who ignore our words we can leave instructions behind, because many will recognize the truth once the believers are gone. They will have the choice to believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ or accept the mark of the beast, and those who choose Jesus will be spared from the fires of hell. The Judge of the Universe will decide if our words and actions are glorifying to Him or not.

I do not see why it is so hard to believe that the government is deceiving the people in order to bring about the One World Government. The Bible says the antichrist comes in with smooth words and flatteries, peaceably, not through violence. "And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries."Dan.11:21. But then, some Christians believe the lies of the enemy that the Holy Spirit is responsible for believers barking like dogs or roaring like lions as they belly up to the Holy Ghost Bar to get "drunk in the spirit" or get their teeth filled with gold. Where is the discernment?
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"  Is. 5:20.
