Dear John & Doves,
If your read the portions of Episcopal Bishop Frank Griswold's sermon at http://mcj.bloghorn.com/1151c you will be able to see how much this Bishop needs to immediately buy eye salve from the Great Physician Jesus Christ along with repenting of his sin. Below are a couple of his statements that I have taken from this article that are quoted below: "Sexuality, that fearsome, awesome, unruly dimension of what it means to be truly human appears to have trumped the Creeds in determining the fundamentals of our faith."(My Comment: Sexuality doesn't determine the fundamentals of our faith. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Our faith is based on the scriptures like the wise man who built his house on the rock Jesus Christ who is called the Word.")"Is it not possible that what may be perceived by many as sexual otherness is in some way revelatory of the fullness of Christ in us – the hope of glory? This is a question we are presently living – a question that contains within itself many other questions, each of which contributes to an answer that has yet to be revealed."
(My Comment: Since Bishop Griswold is a supporter of committed homosexual relationships or 2 homosexuals who supposedly remain faithful to each, this "sexual otherness" is not in any way revelatory of the fullness of Christ in us since homosexuality is a sin. In fact it is one of the sins of the flesh that keep a person from inheriting the kingdom of God. (1 Corin. 6:9-10 & Galatians 5:19-21) And if you don't inherit the kingdom of God, how can you expect receive a glorified body? It does not glorify God when anyone commits a sin and is disobedient to his word. 1 Corin. 6:20 tells us to glorify God in your body and in your spirit.)
At the rapture, the faithful Christians will be wearing the Bride's clothes of fine linen clean and white, and the unfaithful Laodicean type Christian who is blind and naked won't have a stitch of Bridal clothes on. They'll be worse off than the Emperor in his New Clothes who had convinced others around him that he had on something more than his underwear. The Lord Jesus said in Rev. 16:15, "Behold I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walked naked, and they see his shame." The time to repent is now.
God bless,
Donna
