http://scotlandonsunday.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=1071202004 discusses the possibility of the Jordan River becoming a World Heritage Site.  It makes me wonder when someone is going to suggest that the Temple Mount in Jerusalem become a World Heritage Site just so that the United Nations can control it while claiming they will be protecting it from anyone trying to blow up the Muslim's Dome of the Rock.
