Shalom All:Rosh HaShanah (also referred to as Yom Teruah - "day of Trumpet") occurs independent of autumn.
The Jewish calendar is lunar not solar and the "finding-of-Abib" which triggers the additional Adar for the year is the mechanism that keeps it correct for the planting/harvest seasons.
This year Yom Teruah comes at the NEW MOON of Tishri, around September 15/16 the Gregorian calendar. Because the Jewish calendar/feast cycle is lunar based, they will not occur on the same Gregorian date in the following year.
The Gregorian calendar achieves it's connection with the planting/harvest seasons with the leap year and the alternating 30/31-days of the month.
The Muslim calendar is lunar BUT does not have YHVH's Abib and so it has no mechanism for correcting for the planting/harvest season.
Will be listiening carefully in the dark of this coming new moon for The Call!
