"Another Timeline Possibility"

Back in April, I submitted a timeline hypothesis of fall 2005 through fall 2012 for the final 7 years before Yeshua's return in power and great glory. As part of this hypothesis, I submitted a timeline chart for the Great Tribulation which included all the time counts: 1260 days, 1290 days, 1335 days, 2300 evening/mornings, 42 months & 3 1/2 years. I outlined the possibility these timelines could run concurrently in alignment with Israel's feast/fast days with a change of the celebratory aspect of the feasts in fulfillment of Amos 8:10 "I will turn your feasts into mourning, And all your songs into lamentation; I will bring sackcloth on every waist, And baldness on every head; I will make it like mourning for an only son, And its end like a bitter day." [NKJV] The period for these concurrently running counts was from spring 2009 through fall 2012.

While I believe 2005-2012 is still a possibility for a final week of 7 years before Yeshua's 2nd Coming, I've come across a few prophetic words that caused me to look for other possibilities as well, and I think I've found one. Please keep in mind we must all test the spirits regarding a Word from the Lord. This is what I was doing when I came across this other timeline possibility. If it was scripturally impossible for these prophecies to occur, then they would be false. In any case, they certainly will be proven to be either true or false in a few short years. Here is what I came across. Link to prophecies

THE MAN OF PERDITION

By Stephen A. Hanson, Sept. 11, 2004

"This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666." Rev. 13::18

"Out of the east an emissary is coming. Clothed in white he comes, but he is disguised. I tell you that it won’t be long before the son of perdition comes upon the scene. When the world is at unrest and looking for a leader, then he will come. I tell you that the days are hastening forward to these events. He will be looked upon as a new world leader. This is the white horse that is mentioned in Revelation that is bent on conquest. I tell you that many will fall in the day that they give allegiance to him. When the next war erupts, then soon afterwards he will make himself known. By the summer of 2006 he will have made himself known. 666 corresponds with this time as well. I tell you that you have no more than five years before everything is accomplished."

A NEW POLITICAL SCENE AND A NEW ERA

By Stephen A. Hanson, Sept. 4, 2004

"This is the land that I have created, and this is the land that I want to be remembered. Out of the fullness of time I created this earth and everything in it. I have a place reserved for those who believe in Me. There is no God in all of the earth other than Me."

"There is a hush in the land for the coming election. When all of the ballots are counted you will know who your leader will be. I tell you that the political scene will usher you into a new era. Political ideals will not be seen as realism takes its form. For there will be a brief time of peace, but this peace is just a thin veneer. For after a short period of time after the events of the New Year, then there will be many other issues to face. For when attempting to rebuild this nation, then outside forces will take their toll. It will be a new political scene and a new political agenda. When the New Year starts, these outside forces will develop into another war. Within a period of three years, this world will be ushered into the events of the Great Tribulation. These things are not far off. These things are not in the distant times."

There are various other detailed prophecies at the link I've provided and on Stephen's own web site, but the above prophecies are what prompted me to look at timelines again.

Some of the details of these prophecies were intriguing to me because I believe that the scriptures show the antichrist as coming from the eastern half of the former Roman Empire, from the Seleucid territory of the previous Grecian Empire. Today this is the northern part of the middle east including Turkey. These are all Islamic countries where the traditional dress of many of the leaders is a "white" robe. So I have been looking to the Middle "East" for the rise of the antichrist for some time and will continue to do so.

Considering the problems we are having in Iraq and with Iran and Syria, it is easy to see how there could be a greater war in this area involving the US within a few years if not sooner. Especially when considering Iran's nuclear program. So these details of the prophecies seem to confirm what I had already been looking for based on my own study of scripture and world events.

These prophecies also state that by Summer 2006 the antichrist will have made himself known, within 3 years the Great Tribulation will have started, and within 5 years everything is accomplished. Those are bold proclamations! Time will tell if Stephen is a true prophet or not. But are these timeframes even possible? I think they are a viable possibility.

If Stephen's timeframe were to be correct, the first issue we have to deal with is the 70th week of Daniel 9. If we have no more then 5 years until everything is accomplished, and we believe the 70th week is the last 7 years of time prior to Yeshua's 2nd Coming, then we would have to conclude we are 2 years into the 70th week. The current traditional interpretation of the 70 weeks in Daniel 9 states that it was 69 weeks [483 years] from the command to restore Jerusalem until Messiah. Then the count stops. At some future date the count would restart when the antichrist makes/confirms a covenant with Israel for 7 years and Israel would begin the sacrifices again. Midway through this 70th week covenant, the antichrist would stop the sacrifice and commit the abomination of desolation, and the Great Tribulation would ensue for the next 3 1/2 years.

Now if the above prophecies are true, and the interpretation I just outlined is true, then the antichrist would have made the covenant in fall 2002 and Israel would have at least begun building the temple by now. Obviously, this has not happened yet. This could be an issue which makes the prophecies false. Or the current traditional interpretation of the 70 weeks of Daniel 9 could be incorrect. I have personally struggled with the prophecy of the 70 weeks myself. I do not know if the interpretation I outlined above is correct or not, so I have explored other possible interpretations of Daniel 9. The subject of this letter is to present another timeline possibility in relation to Stephen's prophecies and scripture. In order to do so, we must first consider an interpretation of the 70 weeks of Daniel which allows for the specified timeframes.

What is the purpose of the 70 weeks?

Daniel 9:24 "Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy. 25 "Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times. 26 "And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate." [NKJV]

If we look at verse 24 we see that the purpose of the 70 weeks are to:

So in their entirety, the 70 weeks will complete the 6 points above. By looking at these points we can clearly conclude that Yeshua HaMashiach is in focus as the means to complete these points.  Looking at the points "Make an end of sins" and "Bring in everlasting righteousness" alone proves this irrefutably.

Breaking down Dan 9:24-27 we see that the 70 weeks of years are separated into 7 weeks, 62 weeks and 1 week. We also see that the 7 weeks and 62 weeks are the time period from 1) the command to restore, 2) and build Jerusalem, until 3) Messiah the Prince. History shows us that there is good evidence that 483 years [7 x 7 years + 62 x 7 years] transpired between this command and Yeshua's time on earth at His 1st Coming. This time is likely broken up into 7 weeks and 62 weeks because it is 49 years from 1) the command to restore and 2) the actual rebuilding of Jerusalem. Then it is another 434 years until 3) Messiah the Prince. There are many resources available that present an excellent case for this interpretation and I believe it is likely correct. But when the scripture states "until Messiah the Prince", at what point in Yeshua's life is it referring to? His birth? The beginning of His public ministry [I.E. His baptism]? His triumphant entry into Jerusalem? Or at His death and resurrection? It appears that it is the beginning of His public ministry that is in focus when Daniel states "until Messiah the Prince" because:

Daniel states that "AFTER the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off". I believe it is important to take special note of this fact since the current traditional interpretation insists that the 70 week clock is interrupted at the end of the 69th week, leaving the entire 70th week future and unfulfilled. However, note that after 69 weeks is logically sometime in the 70th week, certainly not sometime during or at the end of the 69th week. Messiah being cut off is a key fulfillment of several of the points of verse 24, occurring within the time-frame of the 70 weeks. Since the Messiah must be cut off during one of the 70 weeks to fulfill the points of verse 24, and since the Messiah is cut off after 69 weeks have elapsed, we can reasonably conclude the Messiah is cut off in the 70th week. That Messiah is cut off in the 70th week agrees with, and would be further explained by verse 27, where the effect of Messiah's death would "bring an end to sacrifice and offering".

It is a fact that Yeshua did bring an end to sacrifice and offering when He voluntarily gave Himself as the ultimate and final sacrifice for sin. What is so interesting about this is that Yeshua's ministry was exactly 3 1/2 years, then He was cut off at the crucifixion. Verse 27 states that it's in the middle of a week [I.E. 3 1/2 years] when the end to sacrifice and offering occurs. But is verse 27 speaking of the Messiah or the prince who is to come? Verse 27 states that the week is associated with a covenant that is made with many. Again, the traditional interpretation insists that it is a peace covenant with Israel made by the antichrist in the future. But through His 3 1/2 years of ministry, Yeshua also made a covenant with MANY:

Matthew 26:27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for MANY for the remission of sins. [NKJV]

Romans 11:26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; 27 For this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins." [NKJV] This is not fulfilled until the 2nd Coming.

Jeremiah 31:31 "Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah-- 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. [NKJV]

Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. 15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before, 16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them," 17 then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more." [NKJV] This is a direct quote of Jeremiah 31:33 above.

Hebrews 9:15-22 15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. [NKJV] Fulfilled in the 1st Coming, the cutting off.

Isaiah 53:11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify MANY, For He shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of MANY, And made intercession for the transgressors. [NKJV] Prophetic of the fulfillment of the points of Daniel 9 by Yeshua.

It seems there is good evidence that it is Yeshua who makes the covenant for one week, the 70th week. I also find it very interesting that Daniel's prophecy uses the word MANY instead of Israel, or some other name for Daniel's people if the covenant were to be made with Israel specifically.  Especially in light of the verbiage used in the covenant scriptures presented above. The 70 weeks are specifically for Daniel's people, Israel. But the covenant Yeshua makes goes beyond just Israel to encompass all who believe on Him, hence the identification that the covenant is with MANY. That Yeshua would personally fulfill the 70th week and it's covenant, with 3 1/2 years of ministry on earth at His 1st Coming and the balance of 3 1/2 years just preceding His 2nd Coming, agrees with the fact that only He could fulfill the 6 points of verse 24. The final 3 1/2 years is clearly ONLY Yeshua's to execute because Revelation chapter 5 tells us that it is ONLY He who is worthy to break the 7 Seals and open the scroll. In the final 3 1/2 years "the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate" [Dan 9:27]; and concerning Daniels people, at the very end, at Yeshua's 2nd Coming, "they will look on Me whom they pierced" [Zech 12:10]. It is the time He completes the "Seventy weeks ... determined For your people and for your holy city" [Dan 9:24]. Moreover, we know the ultimate fulfillment of the 6 points of Daniel does not occur until the 2nd Coming with the complete redemption of His people; the church and Israel alike [I.E. Many], both being partakers of His covenant which would then have lasted exactly 1 week, the 70th week.

Now that we have addressed the possibility that we may only have the final 3 1/2 years left from the 70 weeks, we can start looking at the possible timeline. Stephen's prophecies state that there is no more then 5 years before everything is accomplished. We know from scripture that everything is only accomplished at Yeshua's 2nd Coming at the end of the Great Tribulation. So the Great Tribulation must also be completed by the end of the 5 years. This prophecy was given in September 2004, so 5 years from now is roughly September 2009. The fall feasts/fasts of Israel in 2009 occur in September and October. Stephen also states that WITHIN a period of 3 years this world will be ushered into the events of the Great Tribulation. If the Great Tribulation - final 3 1/2 years of the 70th week were to end in the fall 2009, then it would have to begin in the spring of 2006. So it's start would fall within a period of three years from now as the prophecy states.

Then there are the statements that a war will soon erupt after the start of the new year. How soon after the new year is not really specified. The prophecy states that when this next war erupts, then soon afterwards the antichrist will make himself known, and by the summer of 2006 he will have made himself known. We know from scripture that the antichrist is really only given power for 42 months [3 1/2years] not 7 years [see Rev. 13:4-7; Dan. 7:24-25; Dan 12:1-7]. A 7 year timeframe for the antichrist is based upon the current traditional interpretation of Daniel 9 which states it is the antichrist who makes a 7 year covenant with Israel. But we've just looked at evidence that it may actually be Yeshua who makes the 7 year covenant with many in Daniel 9.

With this timeframe in mind, spring 2006 to fall 2009, I started looking at all the different prophetic counts in relation to the feast/fast days of Israel. I discovered that the pattern is almost the same as what I outlined for my spring 2009 through fall 2012 timeline. Following are the timeline details...

It all begins Purim 2006, sunset 3/13/06.

We know that when the antichrist comes to power, he will seek to destroy the holy people, and will be given power to do so [Rev. 13:4-7; Dan. 7:24-25; Dan 12:1-7]. This rise to power could occur anytime after a war erupts sometime in 2005. He could even create a peace agreement with Israel, but I don't believe this is necessary for this scenario to pan out. When he rises to power, the people will be saying "peace and safety", but it would be VERY short lived. Sudden destruction will ensue instead. Purim commemorates the time when the Jewish people living in Persia were saved from extermination at the hands of Haman. It is a feast celebration. It is a fitting time for the antichrist to come against Israel which would begin the fulfillment of Amos 8:10 "I will turn your feasts into mourning, And all your songs into lamentation; I will bring sackcloth on every waist, And baldness on every head; I will make it like mourning for an only son, And its end like a bitter day." [NKJV]

Purim would be the starting point for both the 1290 and 1335 day counts of Daniel 12. Now I'm sure there are those out there that will now say "Ah Ha! Daniel 12 is why we should interpret the week of the covenant of Daniel 9 as being a covenant of the antichrist with Israel because these counts are related to the stopping of sacrifice and offering related to Daniel 12!" This view is not conclusive and is an opinion at best. We've already seen plenty of evidence that the end of sacrifice and offering of Daniel 9 was just as likely accomplished by Yeshua's new covenant and His sacrifice at the cross. Now lets look at what Daniel 12 actually says.

Many translations of Daniel add words which are not present in the original Hebrew, specifically the word "sacrifice" or "burnt offering". Translators added these words because of another Hebrew word "Tamiyd" [Strongs 08548]. Tamiyd means: continuity, perpetuity, to stretch. By itself it is a noun, but in the Old Testament it is often used as an adverb or adjective. In the book of Daniel, Tamiyd is typically seen as an adjective that is used substantively; that is, no noun is supplied. Because of this, many translators made the ASSUMPTION that the sacrifice/burnt offering was the missing noun and they added it to the text. And you know what happens when you assume!

In the Old Testament, the word Tamiyd is used just over 100 times. 26 times it is used to support the noun sacrifice/burnt offering. In every single one of these 26 cases, the word for sacrifice/burnt offering [Hebrew: Olah or Minchah] is actually present in the Hebrew text. 18 of them occur in the book of Numbers alone; which makes sense because the book instructs the Israelites regarding the sacrifices. Tamiyd IS NOT related to the sacrifice/burnt offering in the other 75% of it's usage, therefore the words sacrifice/burnt offering are naturally NOT PRESENT in the Hebrew text relating to these. Of the Major and Minor Prophet books of the Old Testament, Tamiyd is used 24 times; but it is only used 1 TIME to support the noun sacrifice/burnt offering which IS PRESENT in the text [Hebrew "Olah" in Eze 46:15]. So in the Old Testament, whenever the word Tamiyd is meant to be associated with the sacrifice/burnt offering, the word for sacrifice/burnt offering is found in the Hebrew text. In all other instances it is related to an entirely different noun/subject. However, In the book of Daniel Tamiyd is used 5 times [Dan 8:11, 12 & 13; Dan 11:31; Dan 12:11], and in each of these instances, the word for sacrifice/burnt offering IS NOT present in the Hebrew text! Nor is any other noun or subject. In Daniel, the word Tamiyd is used by itself substantively! To add a subject for Tamiyd in Daniel is to add to the Word of God! It should not be done! All translations that add the words sacrifice/burnt offering to the book of Daniel are incorrect in doing so. And most make note of the fact that the words sacrifice/burnt offering are not in the original text.

I submit to you that God made no error in the words given to Daniel. Tamiyd is just Tamiyd used substantively translated as either "Continual" or "Perpetual". This is a striking fact because it means that the subject of each prophetic instance of Tamiyd is dependent upon the actual fulfillment of the prophecy.  Not until the prophecy is fulfilled will we know for sure what the Tamiyd is referring to. Since the subject of this letter is to present a possible timeline, I speculate as to what Tamiyd might refer to, but no one knows for sure and only time will tell. To assume it means sacrifice or burnt offering is only a guess. So one cannot make the leap that the sacrifice is what ties Daniel 12 to covenant of Daniel 9 because the sacrifice is not even present in Daniel 12.

Armed with this fact, a literal, correctly interpreted reading of Dan 12:11-13 should be: "11 and from the time of the turning aside of the perpetual [Tamiyd], and to the giving out of the desolating abomination, days a thousand, two hundred, and ninety. 12 O the blessedness of him who is waiting earnestly, and doth come to the days, a thousand, three hundred, thirty and five. 13 And thou, go on to the end, then thou dost rest, and dost stand in thy lot at the end of the days." [Young's Literal Translation]

So looking at the possible timeline, the perpetual/continual [Tamiyd] would be turned aside/taken away on Purim which starts at sunset 3/13/06. The perpetual/continual could be the current continual ability for Jews to pray at the Western Wall, taken away permanently by the antichrist.  Remember, if the antichrist rises from the eastern half of the Roman Empire, it is likely he will be Muslim. And we are talking about the possible beginning of the Great Tribulation here in the spring of 2006, so this would seem to make sense.

Starting with Purim 3/13/06 and counting 1,290 days [Dan 12:11] inclusively, we arrive at Tuesday 9/22/09 just after a Sabbath Rosh Hashanah. Also starting on Purim 3/13/06 and counting 1335 days [Dan 12:12] inclusively, we arrive at Friday 11/6/09. The significance of these dates will become evident soon.

So we have the ending of a perpetual/continual on Purim 2006. This would create great upheaval both religiously and politically within Israel. It is likely people could begin to see who the antichrist is at this point. Stephen's prophecy states he will come on the scene after war erupts in 2005. From this point he is gaining power. Then somehow, perhaps by some International effort or by conquest, he is able to turn aside/take away the perpetual/continual on Purim.

Since the antichrist is now beginning to move against the holy people, God would then send his 2 witnesses to prophesy against the beast [Rev 11:3]. So 30 days after the perpetual/continual is turned aside/taken away on Purim 3/13/06, the 2 witnesses will begin their 1260 days of prophesying [Rev 11:3] starting exactly on the 1st day of Passover, sunset 4/12/06. Counting 1260 days inclusively, we arrive at Tuesday 9/22/09 again. Why would both the 1260 and 1290 day counts end on the same day? Because Daniel 12's 1290 days are related directly to "when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered" [Dan 12:7], and at the end of the 1260 days of the 2 witnesses "When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them" [Rev 11:7]. It is not until this point in time that the power of the holy people has been COMPLETELY shattered, when the 2 witnesses are killed on 9/22/09.

By the time the 2 witnesses are on the scene at Passover 2006 the wise of Israel, the woman who bore the male child, would understand and flee "into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there 1260 days" [Rev 12:6]. Of course many are not wise and will not flee, just as when the Romans sacked Jerusalem back in 70 AD.

Additionally, on the 1st day of Passover 4/12/06, when the 2 witnesses begin to prophesy, the beast / antichrist is GIVEN AUTHORITY by God to tread the holy city underfoot, continue and make war with the saints, have authority over the nations, speak pompous words, and shatter the power of the holy people for 42 months [I.E. 3 1/2 years] [Rev 11:2; Rev 13:4-7; Dan 7:24-25; Dan 12:1-7]. But since God is merciful he has a place prepared in the wilderness and provides His 2 witnesses to prophesy against the beast, and bring down calamities against the ungodly, just as Moses did against Pharaoh and the Egyptians. This Passover will not be a joyous feast, again in fulfillment of Amos 8:10.

When the beast/antichrist fully realizes the authority he has received around Passover 2006, he will move with wrath because he knows the time is short [Rev 12:12]. Not too long after he receives this power, he commits the desolating abomination. He essentially started the process back on Purim when he turned aside/took away the perpetual/continual, but now that he has authority and realizes where on God's timeline he is, he moves with hast. It's logical to think it takes some time to move forces against the holy people and Jerusalem, and set himself up as God. Perhaps several months. So it takes until the 9th of Av, 8/3/06, then he commits the desolating abomination. This would be an appropriate date to commit the desolating abomination. The 9th of Av 8/3/06 is of course in the summer. He has now made himself known without a shadow of a doubt in the summer just as Stephen's prophecy states.

At the 9th of Av, the treading down of the people is fully underway. Perhaps he has moved his forces into or around Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. He has set himself up as God; an abomination. Daniel 8 tells us that from this point, the treading down of BOTH the people and the sanctuary will last 2,300 evening / mornings [I.E. 1150 days]. Counting 1150 days from the 9th of Av 8/3/06 brings us to the Sabbath of 9/25/09 - 9/26/09 which we will examine next.

On Tuesday 9/22/09, the 2 witnesses would be overcome as the final martyrs at the end of the 1260 days. For 3 1/2 days their bodies are laying in the street as the Beast / Antichrist and his cohorts are celebrating. Exactly after these 3 1/2 days, the sign of the Son of Man appears in heaven, on Sabbath 9/25/09 - 9/26/09, the Sabbath between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur; otherwise known as the Sabbath of Return! On this Sabbath, the 2 witnesses are resurrected and "come up hither" [Rev 11:7-13]. This would now start Yeshua's 2nd Coming in power and great glory.

It is at this point a largely unbelieving Israel "will look on Me whom they pierced" [Zech 12:10], finally recognizing their Messiah. The 144,000 would then be sealed for the coming judgment, and the rest of the unbelieving world will hide from the soon approaching Day of the Lord. On the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur 9/28/09, the Lord's wrath of judgment will be poured out on the face of the earth. For 40 days, from Yom Kippur 9/28/09 until the final Sabbath on 11/6/09, His righteous judgment will cleanse the earth and the Temple.  The resurrected/raptured bride will tabernacle with Yeshua during the 40 days of judgment which spans 7 Sabbaths. The battle of Armageddon would ensue but the antichrist/beast will be defeated and thrown in the Lake of Fire. 40 days of judgment from Yom Kippur until the final Sabbath would exactly mirror the first destruction of the Earth for 40 days as in the time of Noah. This final Sabbath of 11/6/09 is also exactly 1335 inclusively from when this all began back on Purim 3/ 13/06.

Of the 1335 days, we know that Daniel was told in chapter 12 "12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days. 13 But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days." [NKJV]. They would be blessed because they will have reached the end of all the days, after the judgment of God is poured out, and the Kingdom of God is now ushered in. Daniel will have been resurrected, and will now receive his inheritance in the Kingdom.

That's the end of the timeline. I think it is a viable possibility in light of scripture, world events, the way the counts align with significant feast/fast days, and how it lines up with Stephen's prophecy. Based upon this possible timeline and Stephen's possible prophecy, we would look for another war to develop involving the US in 2005, then we would look for the emergence of a leader from the east, probably the Middle East. He would rise to power swiftly, and by early 2006 should be wielding considerable power. He will move against Israel and on Purim 2006, he will stop a continual [?], perhaps the prayers at the Western Wall. On Passover 2006 the 2 witnesses will arrive and begin prophesying, the antichrist/beast will be on the rampage, and the Great Tribulation will have begun. On The 9th of Av 8/3/09 the antichrist/beast commits the desolating abomination, and by this time we will know which rapture interpretation is correct.

Following is a chart of the dates:
