"Re: Jim Bramlett's
post"
Very well said, Jim. There is definitely
a difference in the two parties from a Biblical viewpoint (abortion, same
sex marriage, etc.). I haven't heard any Republicans request the
United Nations get involved in our election results, either. I have
seen very good results in elections when Christians get involved, especially
at the local level. We do make a difference. One vote counts.
One person going door to door handing out information counts. We
will not stop the darkness. The Word tells us that. However,
we can add salt and light while it is still possible.
I have always told my children you can tell what others
will be like by their "fruit" and by the friends they keep around them.
President George Bush calls among his good friends and advisors people
of the faith that I trust very much. No man is perfect but people
like Billy Graham, James Robison, Michael W. Smith, etc. have proven to
be of good repute. Many on his staff are Christians.
Regarding a missile hitting the Pentagon, I remember
a list of people who were killed on that airliner. Some were very
well known in Washington, including the wife of our Adjunct General for
the United States (she was a famous political writer). There is no
way these people are just in hiding. There is a lot of disinformation
going on, especially on the internet. We need to be wise. I
can't remember exacty but I think it was that plane that had a group of
school children on it who had won a trip. You couldn't keep them
in hiding, either.
This isn't Heaven, yet. Edith Schaeffer had a great
quote in many of her books. "If you expect perfection or nothing,
you will always end up with nothing."
