"For What It Is Worth"
Hi Everybody,
The gift of prophecy is something that I do not have. I am
not a prophet and I have no credentials as a preacher. I
don't even have the gift of being able to witness effectively to
anyone. However, I have always had a very strong feeling
that I would be in the rapture. I have also had the
feelin, even from my youngest years, that the rapture will come
a little before it is expected and that it will be sudden.
As I look at the situation of the world today I believe that, if
there is a day when the world expects the rapture, it will be on
December 21st of this year.
I am sure that there are people who will be caught up in the
feeling of foreboding that we now feel, that something big is
about to happen, and are waiting until the last minute to
repent. I also believe that these same people are so weak
in their faith that if nothing happens on the 21st, they will
forget what little faith they have and will go back to partying
as usual in the world.
I have also had a feeling that there would be a sudden
destruction of Biblical proportions (so to speak) that would
occur at the same moment the rapture occurs. These are all
feeling that I have always had, like self evident truths.
I really believe that the rapture will occur this year, and I
believe it will happen before the 21st of December. I have
a very strong feeling that a lot of people are going to feel
"cheated" because it happened too early. I believe all the
mockers will be shown their own words when they suddenly find
themselves in hell and are screaming as loudly as they can that
they are being condemned unfairly, and that they are really
"good" people.
Of course, the rapture could happen on December 21st. It
would be the perfect date for it, in a sense, because it is the
day that seems the least likely day for it to happen, at least
from a Christian point of view. Can you imagine how
embarrassing it will be if it turns out that a bunch of Mayans
had it right way the heck back there in time? We spent
years of dedicated searching for the season, as well as possible
dates, and were wrong, while a bunch of pagans get it right on
the first guess. The world isn't going to want to give an
ounce of credit to us Christians for our years and years of
research and hard work. Instead, the world will be
convinced that Christianity had nothing to do with it.
After all, everybody knows that the Mayans got all of their hot
tips from aliens in outer space.
I can see another possibility. Just suppose for a moment
that the rapture doesn't happen on December 21st. The
mockers in the world will breathe a collective sigh of relief
and then the laughter and sarcasm will immediately become
deafening. Perhaps it will be at this moment that
the rapture and the sudden destruction takes place. In an
instant many will go from mocking laughter to the depths of hell
as a result of the sudden destruction. Their own laughter
and mocking will convict them.
Like I said, I really believe that the rapture will take place
before December 21st. I look at all of the signs that God
is giving us, from every conceivable source, and I know that the
end of the Age of Grace, the beginning of Daniel's 70th week,
and the sudden destruction that will kick off the great
tribulation is upon us.
Anyway for what its worth, that is my opinion.
