"FEAST OF TABERNACLES 2011"

Hi Doves,

The Feast of Tabernacles is a family feast. The feast itself was kept over 7 nights by men and their families at home.

Now this is the important point I want to make. The 1st evening of the Feast was not on the 15th of Tishri, it was on the 16th of Tishri.

On the 15th of Tishri, during the 12 hour Day the men in Jerusalem would go into the mountains to gather all the materials they would need to celebrate this Feast.

They couldn't have gathered the branches for the booths on the 14th of Tishri because that is not the 1st Day [15th of Tishri] of the Feast.

Neither could they have gathered the material at night after the 15th of Tishri starts at Sunset. Does anyone really expect the Israelites to gather branches in the mountains, in the dark at night?

We must think logically!

The earliest time for the gathering of branches for the booths and  for rejoicing on the 15th of Tishri, is from Noon, after the 6 hour Torah Reading.

"Also day by day from the First Day [15th of Tishri] until the Last Day [22nd of Tishri], he [the priest] read from the Book of the Law of God..." [Neh.8:18]

Again we read,

"And you shall make for yourselves on the first day [15th of Tishri] the fruit of beautiful trees, and branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees..." (Lev.23:40)

"And they found written in the Law, which the Lord had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths during the feast of the seventh month, and that they should announce and proclaim in all their cities and in Jerusalem, saying, "Go out to the mountains, and bring olive branches, branches of oil trees, myrtle branches, palm branches, and branches of leafy trees, to make booths, as it is written." Then the people went out and brought them and made themselves booths, each one on the roof of his house..." (Neh. 8:14-16)

They would use these to rejoice before the Lord, as well as build the booths they would sit under, for the 1st time, starting from the 16th of Tishri, which started at Sunset, as the 15th of Tishri came to an end.

16th of Tishri        12 hour Night. 1st Evening in booths.

16th of Tishri         12 hour Day. 1st Day in the Temple.

17th of Tishri         12 hour Night. 2nd Evening in booths.

17th of Tishri          12 hour Day. 2nd Day in the Temple.

18th of Tishri          12 hour Night. 3rd Evening in booths.

18th of Tishri          12 hour Day. 3rd Day in the Temple.

19th of Tishri           12 hour Night. 4th Evening in booths.

19th of Tishri            12 hour Day. 4th Day in Temple.

20th of Tishri            12 hour Night. 5th Evening in booths.

20th of Tishri            12 hour Day. 5th Day in Temple.

21st of Tishri             12 hour Night. 6th Evening in booths.

21st of Tishri             12 hour Day. 6th Day in Temple.

22nd of Tishri            12 hour Night 7th Night in booths.

22nd of Tishri           12 hour Day. 7th Day in Temple.

The 8th Day is not a Day just lached on to the 7 Day Feast of Tabernacles, as many believe.

It is the [Sunrise to Sunset] Day that immediately follows the 7th Night in the booths.

This is why the Apostle John wrote,

"On the Last Day [22nd of Tishri], that Great Day of the Feast..." [John 7:37]

I am now watching for the Rapture to occur just before Sunset at 17:01 hrs [Jerusalem Time] on Friday the 21st of October 2011!

Lets all continue to watch.

Ola.
