"Urgent message to the church"

JOHN 2:1  And the 3rd day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jeus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.  His mother saith unto the servants, WHATSOEVER HE SAITH UNTO YOU, DO IT.
THESE ARE TROUBLOUS TIMES in which we live.  There is much confusion, much running to and fro seeking answers.  What shall we do? Will there be a depression? Will the stock market crash?  What is coming on the earth? Pestilence, disease, famine?  Should me and my family move to another place?
Yesterday and today I have had confirming witness to warn us all that we must be seeking the Spirit of God in all matters; listening to His voice as never before.
In his book “The Spirit Bade me Go” by David du Plessis, a commentary was written by a pastor who wrote these words: “The Holy Spirit is a displaced person in the church today”.  What did he mean by that?  We who seek God must realize that the gift of the Holy Spirit was never meant to be a package opened only once a year, like some Christmas gift.  Rather, it is the life of the Spirit of God that lets us walk in it.
I write this message because I was told to do it.  I do not say that I understand it all, for I know that God’s Spirit speaks in mysteries, and we are to pray, meditate, and seek for revelation and understanding in what God is doing.  We must remember that the Spirit of God is called a COMFORTER, and that in all situations, He is speaking to lead and guide us.  Our spirits are disturbed and frightful when we do not recognize this.
I was talking with a friend of mine yesterday and she told me of a wonderful testimony.  In her church, a young girl would always come and sit beside her during services, a lovely little girl who seemed drawn to this elder lady.  One day she asked the girl, “Do you have grandparents living here?”  The girl replied, “No.”  This is often the case of people who live in our remote state; relatives may live thousands of miles away.  Several months went by and my friend once heard the Spirit speak to her, “Ask the young girl if she would like HER to be her grandparent”.  So she did.  But the young girl did not say anything, just looked surprised.  She wondered “Did I really hear God say to me, ask her if she would like you to be her grandparent?” She questioned that she had heard right, but nevertheless had been obedient.  Weeks went by and the girl continued to sit beside my friend.  Then one day she said to her, “Do you remember when you asked me if I would like you to be my grandparent?” My friend said, “Yes”.  “I didn’t reply to you then, because I was so shocked when you asked me that.  You see, my grandmother’s funeral had been held just the day before you asked me...”
I had a dream in which I was collecting every kind of container, dishes, jars, anything that would hold a seed.  I put water into these containers and set them in various places so that the seeds could germinate and grow. But not every place was the right place. In some places, there were long droughts that quickly dried up the water, but in others floods came and destroyed all.  I desperately needed to know what to do.
The Lord showed me we must obey what the Spirit of God is saying to each of us.  There are coming worldwide shortages that will affect us all. Not just in food, but in everything.   In some places, there will be droughts, in others great floods.  Only by being led by the Spirit of God will we know where to go, where to be, what to do.  Many will look at their money and wonder, should I invest in this, should I buy gold?  Shall I sell my house? Buy up land?
Many are looking for their answers to come from leaders—but unless the leaders themselves seek their wisdom from God, all will fail. Jesus Himself said, “I do nothing except what the Father showeth me”.
Remember that Jesus produced the best wine in empty jugs. We are being admonished, like the servants at the wedding feast, to do WHATSOEVER HE SAITH and He will bless us with abundance in our days of need.
