The Personal Valley...gets us to the "Mountain Top".  Finally, one has the end of themselves.  Jesus swoops in to catch you and He raises you up.  This is where you see Him, feel Him, come to KNOW and experience Him, commune with Him, hope in Him, in a full, more hand holding way.  He walks with you, talks with you, expresses His glory to you.  The mountain top is a place that primarily is all about You! You hearing, you learning, you believing and you receiving! It could be described in this way, just as He did with Abram...back in the day!
"Get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house,
[your country, would be yourself], to a land that I will show you [This will be the "Mountain Top"].  I will make you a great nation [You will become part of Jesus' body, His family]; I will bless you and make your name great [your gifts will be used to encourage, bless and edify others]; I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you [No weapon formed against you shall prosper]; And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed" [His body, His family is always looking to serve Him in any way].
"And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him [he was at the end of himself]; "Lift up your eyes now [Jesus has captured you and raised you up. Your time has come, to visit the mountain of gladness] and look from the place where you are ~ northward, southward, eastward, and westward [Jesus is ready to show you all about Himself, without limits, according to His will]; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. Gen 13:14-15 "Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you ["For all the promises of God in Him are Yes" 2 Cor 1:20].  Then Abram moved his tent and went and dwelt by the terebinth trees of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an alter there to the Lord Gen 13:18  ["...present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service Rom 12:1].
Abram moved his tent and journeyed to the "Spiritual Valley"  and made His home there.  His faith was strong and he had the assurance of KNOWING.  He settled and began to train up his family and all those who wanted to know his God.
Praise Jesus!
The Mountain Top!This is where one learns Who He is, Where they are going, and How to get there!  Blessed Be His Name!
Most of His children meet Him in the personal valley.  In the trenches of life where it is dark and forsaken.  The place where brokenness is found.  Many who may have held the belief of knowing Him, confessed His name, even professed to be a follower.  But the cares and deceptions of this life, this world, did not allow them to come to truly know Him in a personal, real, living, loving, saving and edifying way.  THIS! Is the very nature of most Lukewarm believers.
They go to church, they say they believe, they even get moved by praise and worship music and feel the Spirit's presents sometimes or so they think.  On Sunday, they feel completely set apart; Sanctified, if you will.  They almost can't wait to get together again because it feels good and they feel God is really happy because of their efforts to please Him, merely born out of religious traditions and practices.  But He is not real to them.  He hasn't come alive in their souls...yet!  He is constantly making advances but they do not see them for one reason or another.  They really and truly have a form of godliness and they believe they are on the path to eternal life.  Most don't even speak the language at all outside of..."CHURCH".  These are simply, plainly and very organized;
"Compromising Humanistic Unrepentant Recreational Community Houses".
This is where the scariest scripture in the bible necessitates a need for closer examination.
"Not everyone who says to Me,  Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven but he who does the will of my Father in heaven.  Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?  And then I will declare to them. I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness".  Matthew 7:21-23
When one meets Him in this place (on the Mountain), there is NOTHING that will ever distract their minds away from these precious moments, this unspeakable joy of treasure that has been found.  We want to always be in this place.  A place of NO return. There IS no looking back!  A place where nothing in life can hinder you, ever again.  Nothing can deter you.  Where one undoubtedly KNOWS, Jesus is the source of all answers to all of your concerns, hurts, fears, questions, joy, life and love!  This high, IS a high worthy of having.  One is high on life, high on love, high on Him! He knows this and will not take you down too quickly because He knows this will at times be dangerous for you, so He brings you down when He has made you ready to descend, ready to handle the things you will find there. It is here, on the mountain, where He is building you up for the work in the valley.  The SPIRITUAL VALLEY!
The Spiritual the place where Jesus knows, others are in need.  That there are those who will be coming along, who will need direction and instruction.  They will look to your experience in the harvest that helps them when the road gets rough or they just need to know which direction to go.  This happens when those that are coming along, have finally come to the end of themselves.  They can look to the people called "workers of the field" that God has put in place to help them on their journey.  The majority of those assisted with direction, most times, wonder off the path and find a road that is widely and often traveled and never find their way back.
These matured workers are small lights that shine brightly in dark places, they are used by Jesus, to point the way He wants them to go.  People that God has equipped with wisdom, guidance, encouraging words, messages of hope, food, shelter, warmth, love and care, that will help lead them to a saving faith in the Master of all masters, that ultimately point them to the King of all kings...King Jesus! These people in the valley down there, have been where these people are going.  They loved it and know what exist there.  There, they were once carried, until they learned to walk on their own.  They know it is a wonderful place to be.  These people in the field have been through the training it takes to work the harvest, for it is plentiful.
In the spiritual valley, you will find all kinds of exciting things.  On call always, to take part in different projects the Lord oversees.  He calls one for this or one to assist in that and boy! can there be some humbling and edifying experiences to say the least! All for the edification of one body and to His glory!
These brothers and sisters stand strong but yet sometimes fall.  They have matured in their identity.  They recognize without a doubt that He is still there for them.  When He is silent, they listen and believe that HE IS.  When they fall or get disheartened they know He is there!  They rely through Him, on the prayers, encouragement, gifts and blessings of their family, to help in restoration.  Even in their own pain, they always have an ear to listen to those in need.  The have come to realize, they must become less and He must become greater.  They know the work that has to be done and they are always willing to push through.  When they are down, He sustains.  When they have lost all, He provides.  When they don't care, He does.  When they are at a loss, He gains.  When they are sorrowful, He lifts them up.  When they are sick, He heals.  When they are weak, He is strong.  When all else fails, they know...
The Personal Valley is most times sour!
"Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Heb 12:11
The Mountain SWEET!
"If anyone thirst, let him come to Me and drink.  He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.
John 7:37-38
The Spiritual Valley...The Saint Runs the Race but has a Settled Peace
"You are My witnesses", says the Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He.  Before Me there was no God formed nor shall there be after Me.  Isa 43:10
"Do you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.  And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate inn all things.  Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown...1 Cor 9:24-25
