 Jim,
I have gotten this same analysis from other Bible scholars.  And I believe I have also heard the Lord say, "It is time for me to bring some of you to heaven, and put the others in places where they cannot be harmed."

I also believe He said to me recently, "It is time for you to come to heaven.  I need you here."

There is no reason to believe the rapture spoken of in I Thessalonians 4 is the only rapture that will happen in the immediate future.
I am reading Hilton Sutton's book on the rapture, and he shows from the scriptures that there are at least 3 raptures coming:  one pretrib, one mid trib, and one post trib.  This is probably why there is such an argument about the time of the rapture.  People try to make the scriptures fit a single rapture when there will be more than one.

If Jesus comes this week end, I know I am ready to go.

God Bless
Bruce
