"To Rowina"
Hi Rowina,
The Lord led me to Fivedoves in 2009. I am almost 40.
When I was about 12yrs old I had a summer job helping an older
woman who lived alone and had lost her legs in an accident years
before. She was confined to a bed most of the time but she told
me how to clean her house and even helped me to cook for her
with verbal instruction. I had never cooked before.
She told me a story once about true friendship. She said friends
are those that stick with you and informed me that she called no
one a friend until time had proven it so.
At the time I thought this was odd, but then I was 12. Now I
begin to understand.
I'm still "young" but I want to leave this place and be with
Jesus more than anything. I want to go home.
Maybe Jesus wants me to understand that part of showing my love
and friendship towards Him is in this waiting?
Having worked much of my life with people who have lived this
life much longer than myself, I want you to know that I am
praying for you too...
