In a Computer Worm, a Possible Biblical Clue

By JOHN MARKOFF and DAVID E. SANGER

Deep inside the computer worm that some specialists suspect is aimed at slowing Iran’s race for a nuclear weapon lies what could be a fleeting reference to the Book of Esther, the Old Testament tale in which the Jews pre-empt a Persian plot to destroy them.

That use of the word “Myrtus” — which can be read as an allusion to Esther — to name a file inside the code is one of several murky clues that have emerged as computer experts try to trace the origin and purpose of the rogue Stuxnet program, which seeks out a specific kind of command module for industrial equipment.

<snip>

There are many competing explanations for myrtus, which could simply signify myrtle, a plant important to many cultures in the region. But some security experts see the reference as a signature allusion to Esther, a clear warning in a mounting technological and psychological battle as Israel and its allies try to breach Tehran’s most heavily guarded project. Others doubt the Israelis were involved and say the word could have been inserted as deliberate misinformation, to implicate Israel.

<snip>

Carol Newsom, an Old Testament scholar at Emory University, confirmed the linguistic connection between the plant family and the Old Testament figure, noting that Queen Esther’s original name in Hebrew was Hadassah, which is similar to the Hebrew word for myrtle. Perhaps, she said, “someone was making a learned cross-linguistic wordplay.”

For the past 3 years, I have pointed to the Book of Esther as the Hidden Witness of Revelation 11 – 12.   It isn’t apparent except in the structure of the Bible that the brief mentions of a woman in Psa 45:13, Jer 31:22, Isa 54, and Rev 12 are all tied together.  She is mentioned other places as well, but in metaphor.

What I find interesting is that the CIA or whomever is investigating this virus has come to the conclusion that the word MYRTUS, is a reference to Esther.

Strong’s # H1918 = Myrtle

Strong’s # H1919 = Hadassah (meaning Myrtle) who is Esther

Now it has just occurred to me that IF this person who is an Esther is the second witness of Revelation 11, then it is possible that the Greek word MARTUS is etymologically related to MYRTUS…. Perhaps not in the minds of scholars who don’t see the relationship between the two words, but it makes perfect sense to me.

Strong’s # G3144 = Witness (Martus)

Notice below the 23144’s

Verse # 23144

Mal 4:5

Behold, I will sendH7971 you ElijahH452 the prophetH5030 beforeH6440 the comingH935 of the greatH1419 and dreadfulH3372 dayH3117 of the LORD:H3068

Furthermore, an echo in the scripture is a sound’s-like word to Hadassah

Strong’s # H2322 = Hadashah

The following verse has a gematria = 2322

Exod 33:20

And he said,H559 Thou canstH3201 not seeH7200 my face:H6440 for there shall no manH120 seeH7200 me, and live.H2425

Mathematically, the center of Hadassah (Hidden Face of God) is 1919 / 2 = 959.5.

Verse # 959

Gen 32:30

And JacobH3290 calledH7121 the nameH8034 of the placeH4725 Peniel:H6439 for I have seenH7200 GodH430 faceH6440 to face,H6440 and my lifeH5315 is preserved.H5337

Gen 32:31

And as he passed overH5674 PenuelH6439 the sunH8121 roseH2224 upon him, and he haltedH6760 upon his thigh.H3409
