Hi Barry,
You wrote..."

keep the law it may be that finally they will see the utter
impossibility of keeping it and then turn to Jesus for salvation".
When/where did the Jews ever consider themselves out from
under the Law? If they never considered themselves out from it, then
how can they be placed back under it?

I
agree Kevin, the Jews are STILL under the Law, since they do not
believe that Messiah has come yet. Truth is, most Jews are closer to
being atheists and anything else...they might have traditions, but I
think the majority (at least here in the States), don't believe as they
did. Since they aren't giving sacrifices, how can they be truly
'practicing'? The only thing I can see that could be close to 'placed
back under the law' would be them feeling CONVICTED. Then, they'd be
more likely to 'place themselves' or rededicate themselves to the
practices of old. If they didn't see the need for Jesus all this time,
it's going to take a major awakening for them to see Him for who He is
now (in future). Even with that old Rabbi writing the name of Jesus as
the Messiah, his own Son refused to believe it was true.
Just my two
cents.
Blessings~
