We've had talks on here about the Sudden Destruction, and it coming in the 'middle' of the 'seven', leading to the 3.5 year mark. The idea of the AC putting a stop to the sacrifices and offerings, and the idea by some that the 'temple' is the Body of Christ. It makes so much more sense to think that when you come across the idea of this:

"...And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation..."

That leads me to believe even more that this false Christ, will offer up a 'false Christianity'...one that will appease the majority, even the 'elite'. Think of it, 'on a wing of the temple'...part of what is established as 'the temple'. WE are the 'temple'. The Lord inhabits The Church in us. We have all seen 'false' churches/prophets throughout time and history. We've seen recent year's news headlines where people are cheated, scammed by those using the Name of Christ as a 'smoke screen' to do their dirty work. Many today are flourishing with these false doctrines.

How much worse will things get as the time becomes shorter till His Coming? Just like those 'birth pangs', they will become more often, harder, faster...and when everything literally blows apart during the Sudden Destruction, it will be a 'savior figure' who will step in with the answers. Of course, in the physical/emotional/financial chaos, it will be so easy to set things up and then declare himself 'god'. I honestly see this as a 'theocracy' that is accepted by the masses. Only the ones left behind who realized too late the truth will not fall for it. They will be the ones facing beheadings, lack of access to food, water, shelter....all under the control of this 'false messiah'.

If I can sit here with my laymen's education, and just a heart for the Lord, and imagine how things could go down, just how bad and how easily might it happen? Did anyone think, 40 years ago, that Americans would stand by as 3000+ children were slaughtered in our neighborhoods across the country DAILY, and it would be LEGAL? Did anyone growing up think that there would be billionaires that are planning, fighting and making happen honest to goodness GENOCIDE in the name of 'saving the planet'?

We are there folks. It doesn't take a great imagination to see the way of things, and how easily it could all come about.
