Isn't it amazing? I have people in my life, family, who I love...but I do not like them much. Sorry, but being honest here. Some are 'crooks', a cousin in and out of prison, steals from my grandma, etc. But I do love him. I just don't like him. I hate the things he does, as I'm sure God does...but I know even God LIKES him. How blessed are we?

I have a dear friend who is very devout. When we are together, things happen that always make us happy, make us giddy as school girls....we get the desires of our hearts. They are simple 'earthly' things...but we both know it is like a piece of candy from Grandpa, that special connection to our Heavenly Father who dotes on us. He wants us to have the desires of our hearts, even the little silly things. We recognize His hand in the works and always give Him thanks. Some people may think we are silly to think He would even care about the mundane things in our lives...but we know better.

When my daughter delights in her cute cats doing silly stuff, I tell her, 'God wants you to feel the joy He feels when we do something that pleases Him'. 'When your cat curls up in the lid of your sewing box, just looking adorable, that love that washes over you? Imagine that magnified beyond comprehension to when we please God.'

Yes, He LOVES us, but thank HIM that He also LIKES us. :)
