"Re: UFO sitings on the 13th"
I remember a few years ago, "The Amazing
Randi", a 'mentalist' type guy who debunks 'mystics' in a Las Vegas
show, 'predicted' that on a certain date, at a certain place, many
people would SEE UFOs.
People were coming from all over the place to Vegas to be there.
That
night, people stood outside of Vegas, away from the light pollution of
that neon town. Everyone watching the skies. Suddenly, someone called
out! "I see one!"...soon a chorus of voices went up and many 'saw' the
lights. After the appointed time, people were told to meet back at the
showroom where Randi does his show.
That's when he was
supposedly to 'take a bow' for predicting correctly. Instead, he
informed the duped crowd that there was NOTHING THERE. It was the power
of suggestion. If you tell people they will see something, the majority
WILL. Others, either consciously or unconsciously will chime in. It's
like a mass hypnosis, mass hysteria...contagious delusion.
It was the perfect example of how things will go down in the 'great delusion' I think.
