"Double Vision ?"

Hi Doves,

I think I had double vision the other day. Really ! No, not the kind where your eyes go cross eyed. But the kind many of you have shared via your posts on Doves. Let me explain.

While at work Monday, I took a brief break from my daily tasks by simply sitting still, closing my eyes, and resting.
While not thinking about anything in particular, and very much cognitively alert, a picture came to my mind.
First though, let me say, I have never had a vision. Or at least what I perceive to be vision to be. For that matter, I'm not even sure what a vision is. Perhaps you do.

Vision 1: While thinking about whatever, this "movie" played in my mine. I was sitting in a somewhat darkly lit building/room.
I suddenly saw a small window, right above my eye level and slightly to my left. This window however was glassless.
I noticed the windowsill was thick gray concrete. About seven inches thick. The window was perfectly square.
Probably two feet on all sides. As I looked at the window bright sun shone through. It was bright but not blinding.
I could also see beautiful blue skies with large puffy cumulous clouds. Now please understand, as I saw this, I thought,
"This is strange." I attempted to dismiss this picture, but like a moth to a flame I couldn't. I tried to shake it again, but to no avail.
So I simply choose to let it go, thinking that perhaps this was something from God.

As I looked through the window, I was mesmerized. I just stared at it. Then suddenly I saw a beautiful dove
come fluttering in through the window. I noticed the dove had something in his beak. It was a small twig of
some kind. And yes, it sure seemed like an olive twig. The dove rested on my right thigh. I looked at it and
marveled at its beauty. I then noticed it dropped the twig on my thigh. A brief moment passed and it picked it up.
It then dropped it again. I looked at it. It appeared to turn its head slightly and look at me. It picked up the
twig again and dropped it for the third time on my thigh. This time I got the picture. Kind of like Fito wanting to
play fetch, I picked up the olive twig. Then suddenly, the dove flew out the window. End of vision.

Vision 2: While still in this same posture as stated above, and about a minute after the first vision, I saw a
cemetery. This cemetery is one I am familiar with. It is where my parents, grandparents, and other relatives are
buried. Here is what the cemetery looks like. It is a relatively small cemetery outside a small rural town.
It is up on a bluff overlooking a very large river that feeds into the ocean. Surrounding the cemetery are many tall trees.
There is not a building in sight. It truly is a beautiful and peaceful setting.

The day was beautiful. Bright blue skies accented with large puffy white clouds. It was mid afternoon.
The air was cool but not cold. It was breezy. It seemed like a nice early fall afternoon. I was there as an adult at present age.
I also saw myself as a mid teenager about 15 or so. We were together. No one else though was at the cemetery.
We took a seat on a  park like bench that overlooked the river. We sat admiring the beauty and serenity.
My 15 year old self said to my adult self, "Why are we here?" My adult self said, "Just wait a minute,
you'll see."

As soon as he finished those words , the adult self looked to his left toward the family burial plot about 100 feet away.
The 15 year old looked that direction as well. It's important to note that I saw myself more as the 15 year old
in this vision rather than the adult self. Suddenly we saw what looked like mist or very fine white particles rise upward form the ground.
These particles or mist seemed to become more cohesive the higher they got.
I was astonished at this sight. I realized that this is what my adult self was alluding to when I asked him why are
we here. I began to feel tingly and a rush go through my body. We then turned our heads toward the river and both stood up.
My adult self began to raise his arms while looking up toward the sky. My 15 year old did the same. I felt great anticipation. Excitement.
With our hands lifted up and heads held high we began to elevate off the ground .
End of vision.

Who knows what this really was. Afterwards I felt light and somewhat euphoric.
So a vision? Day dream? It definitely was unique at how it came. It sure seemed like something from God.
Thoughts? Comments ?

Blessings to all,
