"The Divine Tension - Can You Feel It ?"

Dear Doves,

The Divine Tension. That's what I call it. The very thing many of us are feeling these days. There is great expectations.
Much anticipation. And so much revelation. How can we not feel it? We are perhaps on the threshold of the greatest
escape the world has ever known or will ever know. A glorious escape for some, yet a time of unparalleled sorrow for others.
Could we be mere days away from immortality? If not days, then maybe just a few weeks? So much screams YES!

Like so many of you, I had my own "encounter" with God with regards to His coming. During the last Israeli conflict
in the late summer of 2006, my interest in end-times prophecy was rekindled. Though a watchman
for nearly 30 years, there have been ebb and flows for me as it relates to keeping up with the latest prophetic events.
Though the last Israeli/Lebanon war was not a hugely significant war as compared to past Israeli conflicts, I felt the time
on the prophetic clock was ticking closer to midnight.

One late afternoon, in the same month of August (2006), while puttering around the house I asked the Lord, "Lord, when are you coming back?"
Have you ever asked the Lord something knowing you probably aren't going to get an answer ?
Or, the answer you expect may be somewhat rhetorical like," Son, you have no need to know of these things. Today's problems are sufficient."
That's what I kind of expected. Well, as quickly as I finished my question, I heard unmistakably the words, 2010. No, it was not audible.
All as I can say is, I heard it in my mind. It was loud and clear. I was blown away. Taken aback.
I have gotten a few words of knowledge in my time, but they are usually subtle nuances. This was a bullhorn!

Well, I had to sit down after this. Immediately I begin to question, "Was that you God? If it was really you, please give me a
confirmation." The second I finished that question," Matthew 25" was spoken in my mind in the same fashion. It was unmistakable.
Though I have read the parable of the ten virgins numerous times, I did not have a reference to where that
scripture was in the Gospels. Naturally, I grabbed my Bible to look up Matthew 25. I exclaimed, "Oh my, I can't believe it.
You really are coming soon."  That was over four years ago.

I  have told a few folks (Christians) of my encounter. But I quickly learned that unless you are at least an occasional watchman,
most folks will dismiss such "things" as somewhat frivolous. You know what I mean. The funny looks. The "Oh, that's quite interesting." statements.
Or the infamous, "No one knows the day or the hour." I don't know about you, but these can be big deflators.
Thank God for websites like five doves where others not only understand, but appreciate comments and stories from one another.
Sometimes I wonder why I have such an interest in the prophetic and so many others don't. Have you wondered that too ?
Maybe God has planted the desire of His coming in our hearts as well as the desire to watch. Maybe it's a gift. Something He
has given us. Just not sure.

So here we are. Mid October 2010. You have shared your comments and encouragements. You've told us of your visions and dreams.
Many of you Bible scholars have shown reasonable evidence that His coming is truly immanent. The numbers are remarkable.
There is the complex and the simple. The detailed and big pictured. Though many theories abound, nearly all are
pointing to 2010 for the rapture and or, rapture/SD. With over 3/4 of the year in the books, the time is now. Can the Divine Tension
be any greater? Has any watchman ever seen or heard so many confirmations pointing to this hour? Is it not remarkable?
And we are but a minute fraction of believers who have shared our stories, theories, visions, and dreams of His soon coming.
So many more around the world have heard and seen from our Lord about the rapture.

Will it be this coming week? Perhaps no later than the end of the month? Certainly by mid November? As Ron Reese is fond of
saying, and I paraphrase, "We should fully expect the rapture/SD in the Fall of 2010, but I am not predicting it." Most of us would
fully concur with that statement. Our world as we know it may change drastically very soon. Pray for our loved ones who have not
received Christ. Pray for the countless tribulation saints who will sacrifice their lives to plead with others to receive Jesus.
Pray that somehow our possessions and money will fall into the hands of future saints to be used for His glory.
Pray that if by the slightest of chances our Lord should delay or tarry that we would humbly and graciously carry on the work He has for us to do until
His eventual appearing.

May the Lord graciously bless you in these days ahead. Be filled with His Spirit. May we see what the Father is
doing and go about doing it. Thanks to all of who have contributed to five doves and will continue to contribute.
You have been a blessing, and confirmed that I am not a "kook."  : )

Blessings to all,

Steve W.
