"Shelva: other reports of moon out of place"
I have been hearing reports of the moon rising or setting in the wrong place for a couple
of years now. Your report of moonrise at the wrong time is precise--moon five
hours late in its normal traverse from East to West. All I can report is that I've heard
four or five other reports of this happening.
The sun also has been reported as "not in the right place." A year ago at
the Summer Solstice I thought the sun was further north than I had ever seen
it, because, as it set, its light came brilliantly into my kitchen, which I had
never seen before). Did I just miss earlier solstice sunsets, or was this new?
I never have direct sun in my kitchen, and this was blazing sunlight.
I don't know either, can only report and wonder.
