"Re: The Spiritual Temple During the Tribulation"
Dear Sherry,
Thank you so much
for re-posting your discussion of the reasons the temple in the
Tribulation may be the body of believers (you, of course, implied,
believers who are born again, since even Satan and the demons are
believers in Christ as the Son of God and tried to eliminate him by
killing him at Calvary).
Congratulations! I thought
you presented a solid, logical basis for there being no need for a
physical temple during the Tribulation. Bravo!
The rent
veil, the finished work of Christ by dying as the Lamb of God and the
definite statements in scripturee that you cited show clearly that the
new temple after Christ's death and resurrection would be the body of
true, born again believers. These people would believe in Jesus'
teachings, who obey his commandments and confess their new sins as soon
as possible, repenting and trying not to sin again.
I
agree completely with your argument and think the Jewish people who
want to revert back to temple sacrifices in a new physical temple are
still in denial of Jesus' messiahship. They are waiting for a new
messiah, having rejected Jesus. This is not a position that can be
supported in the New Testament, I believe, and should be rejected by
born-again believers. It is over--Jesus IS the MESSIAH!
I
never could understand the need for another physical temple. The need
for additional sacrifices ended when Jesus died to fulfill the law. Now
God accepts Jesus' death as the final sacrifice that was symbolically
established by the unblemished lamb sacrifices in the Jewish temples
built by Solomon and re-built by Herod.
Keep up your
excellent work in studying and thinking through the meaning of the
Bible verses. I enjoyed your post and hope to see more in these last
days.
Yours in Christ,
Robert
