"Re: The Seven Year tribulation"
A few words to the doves about the post that there
is a 7 year tribulation. In general be wary of long winded explanations
to prove specific points in scripture.
Is
there a 7 year tribulation? I'm not aware of one in
scripture. I do know from the book of Daniel that there is
the prophesy of the 70 weeks, each week consisting of 7 years. 69
of those weeks have been fulfilled, the remaining week of 7 years yet
remains to be fulfilled. I also know from the book of Daniel that
in the midst of that final week the person commonly referred to as the
Antichrist will declate himself to be God in the rebuilt temple
in Jerusalem. I also know from the book of Matthew that
immediately after that event there will be great tribulation such as
the world has never seen. A little putting together of Daniel and
Revelation leads most bible students to agree this terrible event know
as the great tribulation lasts 3 1/2 years.
Is all of Daniel's
70th week "the seven year tribulation"? Only if you want it to
be. I have books that say it is. One book I have takes two
hundred pages to make that point. But men can justify
anything. Just look at history.
