"Re: Rowina: Hey Paul, natural teacher!"

one thing that I love about elementary ed is the energy level. I am a hands on teacher, and believe in a active style of teaching just just sitting in desk reading books. the younger of them, 3rd and below, are the most fun for me so energetic and so eager. I had ADD as a kid so I know the symptoms of it but I also know too many get into elementary ed woefully unprepared for the energy level and "medicate" the kids to be prefect little drones. most are boys who are VERY naturally active and too many treat them more like defective girls.

I will say I hope very much to teach elementary ed in the MK. I love working with kids, especially boys, and definitely have the energy it takes (I am  also kind of a big kid). I don’t see myself as a ruler and as a teacher I could spread the gospel to kids. (since we are kings and priests I could see myself being a priest to kids)(the only difficult thing would be stopping for the day and letting them go home) I could also work in a local temple or church as a youth pastor. I could definitely enjoy that. Too bad I couldn’t bring them home with me to the NJ they could meet the saints and we could have fun but hopefully after the MK and the final rebellion when man is finally cleansed and made perfect again I can bring them by my place. then I could bring the perfect children of eternity there too. If only we could be there now.

I too would like to sing and would like to play many instruments especially bagpipes (I am of Scottish decent).

"Hey Paul, "natural teacher"!"

There are wonderful men who teach elementary school.  One of the best loved teachers at
my grandsons' school is the kindergarten man.  Having a good male role model in school
is great!  Once upon a time almost all teachers were male, back in colonial days in America.
It is definitely not a wimp's job.

I was a teacher in high school and college, and I substituted a bit in an elementary school.
I would never have been suited for teaching early elementary classes, as I did not have the
energy to deal with the "monsters", even the well-behaved monsters, for we all know how
restless and active kids are!   Some schools try to make them calm by giving them Ritalin,
it's so hard a job.   One reason so many parents home school is because it takes a lot of
energy to give individual attention to kids at elementary level.

I don't know if we'll be doing "jobs" in the Millennium, but maybe you will be an elementary
teacher then.  I can imagine a variety of jobs for me.  If I am a teacher I may be a dance or
music teacher, the true loves of my life, more "me" than the English teacher I was, although
I was grateful for the wonderful job I had at the community college and the good I could see
occurring in the lives of my students.

But in the Millennium maybe I will have a perfect singing voice, which I didn't have in this life,
to sing in choirs.  Who could tell!

But don't be depressed, as you say you are, about your unique identified skill.   That is certainly
not called for!
