"Watching and Waiting"

Hi Doves,

I wrote an article I hope will bring a smile and encouragement to continue on in our Looking for Him....

PS:  I think those with dim dark glasses are playing havoc on my computer and getting in my email was locked out for a while and pulling up anything was taking now over 2 hours.  Woosh!!!

With the sound of the Shofar  we are all waiting for, and the voice of the Archangel  to call us to come up  here,  we all are waiting with baited breath.   Is this hard for us to do??  We have watched with anticipation several days hoped for to come and go and we wake up in our beds. Jesus said “if you love me you will keep my commands”.  And, one overlooked command is to  WATCH!

I wonder if the “Magi” ever got exhausted or felt like giving up looking for the Messianic Star

when they understood this event to be worth the travel through dangerous territories, forsaking their families and their lives of relative ease.   Were these Magi Jewish?  Theologians have pondered that for  several hundred years and it is not fully clear.  But what is clear is their faithfulness to the fact that this event of the Star  was the annunciation

and proclamation  to all the world the King of the Universe was to come and reside among mankind for the purpose of salvation.

There were many who were not watching during that time, but,  political  leaders understood along with some of the religious community that it was anytime this Messiah could come.  We know by looking back through history these political leaders were malicious towards their own

people  seeking to retain  their  leadership positions.   How upsetting was it that a caravan of camel riding  religious/political leaders would show up in Jerusalem  from  across a desert hoping  to worship the arrival of a NEW KING,  the KING OF KINGS.   If that would not get any self-respecting ill-intentioned politician’s blood to boil, I do not know what would.

Today as many are watching and     listening for the call to come up here remember we are living in a world of ill-intentioned leaders world -wide who would seek  to

have us become dim in our eyes and hard to hear with our ears and follow after  them.   Also,

For many of us we have folks we are close to whether in work or social, religious and family circles who have smudged their glasses and listened to other sounds that lead them  to a different rhythm of the world about them, who want us to abandon the command of Jesus

to WATCH,  let us be like the Magi who made the trip and were rewarded for their efforts.
