Hello,
John and Doves,
Suzi,
I totally agree!
In
fact, one of the nicknames I have for old "Slewfoot" is "SAT
ON!!"
We
must never forget that Our Lord, Jesus Christ, who is the rightful and righteous
King of the Universe [1 Cor 15:27],
has
vanquished the power of the Enemy for all time, everywhere, at The
Cross.
Indeed, the foolishness of God is wiser than men!
[1 Cor 1:25]
Now,
the cool thing is that the Enemy has been SAT ON [think
wrestling].
The
roaring lion that is the enemy has gotten his teeth knocked out by the Good
Shepherd's handy-dandy rod of iron!!
Indeed, Satan has had to tap out [again, think
wrestling]!!
How
many times will this loser tap out [he must always tap out] before he realizes
that "Jesus is LORD" has no
exceptions?
May
all of us Doves receive Jesus Christ into our hearts as LORD and
Savior!
In
HaShem,
Mike

"On
Halloween"
I totally understand and completely respect each and
every person's view on Halloween and their involvement or not. Since we all
need to follow what God has called us to do.
Coming from a Wiccan/Pagan
background, for me, it was always about reclaiming for God what Satan tried to
steal, has stolen and will continue to steal. I refuse to give him one of
God's days! That's how strongly I feel about it.
I've already posted
(last year, wow time flies, and this) what I've done throughout the time from
my becoming a Christian (where I wanted to completely avoid it) through having
kids, to where I am today.
I believe in redeeming, reclaiming and
rededicating all things to He who made them. Satan has no power over our
lives. He can not take a day that the Lord has made. There may be those who
take those days (and honestly, Halloween is one of the lessor 'high days' on
the Wiccan calendar), and use them for their 'worship'...but that does not
mean it is not GOD'S day.
So, my advice is to pray, follow your heart,
as the Lord leads you. Since we all have our weaknesses that Satan loves to
use against us, I can see where some people would want to avoid things. Just
like a person who has a problem with alcohol, or food, or whatever would
naturally want to avoid them, whereas another person might be able to walk
right passed someone else's pitfall. I get that.
But once again, I will
caution everyone to NOT afford Satan any 'rights' over what is solely
GOD'S...he (Satan) loves when we end up doing a reverse 'honor' to him, by
sidestepping a day because we 'admit' is it 'his'. Don't fall for
it.
"This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad
in it!".
Blessings~
