I think Damascus will be
destroyed by the mountain-sized asteroid of Rev. 8:8 on the Day of God's Wrath.
I believe the asteroid will impact the Mediterranean Sea. Besides
the initial blast, a huge tsunami will overflow the
land.
Isa 28:15 says, "Because ye have said, We have
made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the
OVERFLOWING SCOURGE shall pass through, it shall not come
unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid
ourselves".
Eze 38:18-20 says, "And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against
the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that MY FURY
shall come up in my face. For in my jealousy and in the fire of my WRATH have I spoken, Surely in that day there
shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the
FISHES OF THE SEA, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and
all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that
are upon the face of the earth, shall
shake (WORLDWIDE EARTHQUAKE) at my presence (lit. face, when they see the
Sign of the Son of Man in the sky), and the mountains (asteroids of Rev.
8:8-11) shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and EVERY
WALL SHALL FALL to the ground."
Rev 16:17-19
says, "And the seventh angel poured out his vial
into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the
throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and
thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great EARTHQUAKE, such as was not
since men were upon the earth, so mighty an EARTHQUAKE, and so great. And the great city (Jerusalem) was divided
into three parts, and THE CITIES OF THE NATIONS FELL: and great Babylon came in
remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness
of HIS WRATH."
All cities
will be in shambles. Damascus won't be
rebuilt.
Isa 22:16-19 says, "What hast thou here? (Babylon) and whom hast thou here (the False
Prophet), that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he (Satan) that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth an habitation for himself in a rock (the asteroid Wormwood,
Rev. 8:11)? Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with
a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee. He will surely
violently turn and TOSS THEE LIKE A BALL into a large
country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory
shall
be the shame of thy lord's house. And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull
thee down."
