I wonder what the numerical value of 69 is and its Biblical meaning since it wasn't 70 days.

Here’s my two-bits:

When discussing the 70 weeks of Daniel, the usual teaching is that 69 weeks have expired and the 70^th week is yet to come.

Using this approach, the 69 days in the mine represent the 69 weeks of Daniel’s prophecy that are history.

The miners were rescued on the 70^th day beginning at 12:11am and ending at 9:55pm Chilean time.

Prophecy teachers and watchers consistently refer to the rapture occurring at the beginning of the 70^th week and that the event would make a world-wide impact.

What better imagery of being “caught up” could there be than that of the 33 miners being “caught up” as they were rescued on October 13, 2010, before a world-wide audience.

I’m putting my money on the concept that October 13, 2010, was the first day of Daniel’s 70^th week.
