I apologize for not being able to remember the source; but I recall reading some ten years ago a theory that possible consequences of the multitude of environmental events described in Revelation could include a shift in the poles and speeding up of the Earth's rotational time.  If each day was shortened by the results of multiple Nuclear Warhead detonation, impacts with cosmic bodies and other factors; this prophecy could be fulfilled without reducing the actual number of days.
