Peleg was FIVE generations after the flood... maybe born after Abraham who could have shook hands with any of Noah's sons
Gen 10:32  ""These [are] the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.""
 
This says the dividing of the Earth was of the people not the continents
