The essential nature of the Bible message is enclosed in the harmony of all the books........  no one book, passage gives the whole story........
It has been a very real possibility that the Psalm 83 events are a telling of only one battlefront within the overall Gog Magog campaign.........
indeed, the destruction of Damascus may be what brings Russian intervention..........  or it could be any act within that grim play......
 
So imho we should not be too emphatic in saying that Psalm 83 is definitely a separate war.........
