"RE  JENNIE   " ENOCH AND ELIJAH ""

Hello dear Jennie
After your letter I researched  the two afore mentioned. " Enoch and Elijah."

Jubilees : Chapter 10
15. And Noah slept with his fathers, and was buried on
16. Mount Lubar in the land of Ararat. Nine hundred and fifty years he completed in his life, nineteen
17. Jubilees and two weeks and five years. [ 1659 AM ] And in his life he excelled the children of men save Enoch
because of the righteousness, wherein he was perfect. For Enoch's (office) was ordained for a TESTEMONY to
the generations of the world, so that he should  recount all  the deeds of generation

18. unto generation, until the day of judgment.

My friend this says Until, the day of Judgment. I agree with you . His day is appointed to be a testemony to this last generation . Not just for Israel but to all who have an ear to hear the spirit of the Lord God. And he was ordained for testemony to THE GENERATION(S) of the world.

Elijah
The special work of the prophet is to arouse the consciences , and comfort the hearts of God's people in a time of ruin.
First to awaken the( failing people of God) to their responcibilities by applying the word of God to their conscience, and second, to encourage the faithful by lifting their thoughts above the ruin in which they find themselves, and comforting their hearts with the glories yet to come. Israel for the most part today are atheist. What better prophet could God have set aside than Elijah to deal with Israel in the great time of ruin in the tribulation week.

When all is in order amongst God's people there is neither need or scope for the prophetic gift. Let us remember it is Israel that God will bring back to Himself.
But when through the failure and disobedience of  God's people, all has fallen into disorder, then, in the mercy of God, the prophet is brought upon the scene. The evil of God's people must call forth His judgment, for God will be true to Himself, and vindicate the glory of His name. But as another has said " Whatever their iniquity may be, God does not smite a people who have foresaken His ways, Until He has sent them a (Testemony.) He may Chastise them previously, but will not definitely execute His judgment upon them." Hence it is the very mercy of God that raises up the prophets in a day of ruin.
Elijah in his day was a true prophet of the Lord. Never before had the condition of God's people sunk to such depths of degradation. In his day all  trace of public worship of Jehovah vanished from the land. ( much like it will be in the last days and the body of believers are no longer here to hold back the lawless one.)

In the midst of the scene of darkness and moral degradation, they will appear upon the scene, with dramatic suddenness,  two striking witnesses to the living God. Standing consciously before the living God, they are delivered from all fear , when standing before the apostate world leaders.
What is the secret of Enoch and  Elijah's boldness in the presence of the world leaders-- the assurance with which they tell the coming judgment, and the confident assertion that all will take place according to their word. They will  say of Jehovah, He is One      "before whom we stand ."
 Be blessed
