Re: "THE 'WRATH OF GOD' IS AN 'ACT OF GOD'...IT IS NOT TRIBULATION"
That's nice, Bruce, but that's not the only thing the Bible has to say about the period of time that includes the Great Tribulation. You seem very eager to have the church go through the first 3.5 years of the 70th week of God's dealings with national Israel. That still doesn't make any logical sense, but i understand why you have to avoid addressing that in order to maintain your belief in the church going through 3.5 of the 7 years of God's wrath being poured out during the 70th week. The 70th week is pretty clearly articulated as being a time of God's dealing with the unbelievers and the spiritual renewal of Israel. It has nothing to do with the church. And God's chosen means for setting things aright includes using the schemes of man against them during the first 3.5 years leading up to the time of greatest catastrophes. Yet all of it is God's judgment and wrath and all of it is for the unbelievers and national Israel to go through, not the church.
If we don't approach Scripture with your mid-trib presupposition, and instead let the text speak for itself, it is much clearer that the 70th week has nothing to do with the church.

God bless.
