Hello doves,

 

At 1:39PM today I was about to make a phone call on my blackberry.  I started dialing the number when all of a sudden, the “+” sign just started scrolling from left to right.  It wouldn’t stop so I started pressing other buttons thinking that the key (or a key) must be stuck or something.  Nothing was stopping it.  Every time I closed the “phone call” window, it would just pop back up and start displaying “++++++++++++”. 

 

The thing is, my profession is Senior Telecommunications Analyst for a large company here in Canada.  I am used to working on telephony related problems (never seen this issue by the way!), so I automatically went into trouble shooting mode and directly suspected my blackberry was malfunctioning.  As quickly as that thought popped into my head, another thought replaced it saying “there’s nothing wrong with your blackberry”.  With the hair on the back of my neck standing at attention, I sat staring at all of the “+” signs on the screen and realized I was staring at a bunch of crosses.   Another interesting piece to the story is that I was actually looking at the latest earthquakes in the world website: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/quakes_all.html .  I’m still not ready to say that this was some type of sign, or if fact this was an issue with my BB.   

 

If anyone else has experienced something similar, I would love to hear from you!  I really do hope it was a sign.
