I have often come upon postings on Five Dove's site that would imply
that when the Lord comes to catch us away that a whole lot of people
will fly up into the air and that when it happens that it will be
tangibly visible to others. Well that's the impression that I get, that
that is how people think that it will be, we'll just be flying away and
people will be looking at us being taken up. Is this so? I don't think
so and this is not how the Bible tells us it will be. It will happen so
quickly that at a BLINK of an eye, we'll no longer be here. Literally
we'll be standing in front of a person and we'll just disappear. I don't
know if we'll take on some radiant appearance just prior to us being
caught up, but we are told in the scripture that we will be changed in
the twinkling of an eye, and that we will change from mortal to immortal
and that our bodies will take on the same flesh substance as our Lord
Jesus Christ and we'll no longer have blood, but flesh and bone bodies,
because it says that we shall be like him, because flesh and blood
cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. See 1 Cor. 15:51 - 54.
The one dove posted on Five Doves, saying that the rapture in a dream
she had was "so natural, just like you are now, is how it is going to be
like. Nothing out of the ordinary. The not so normal, is the fact that
there will be people flying towards the skies and the rest will not
understand what is going on." Really, will people stand gazing in
amazement looking at us flying up or being caught up? I think not!!
Sorry I disagree, it's not going to be normal; it's going to be
unparalleled. It's going to be beyond our imagination. One moment we'll
be here, the next we'll be in the air with the Lord Jesus and I believe
that it will happen quickly; people left will be stunned perhaps as they
see a friend, a colleague or loved one disappear before there very eyes.
Perhaps in some places it will take a couple of hours or even days for
those left to hear of people they know having left without a trace. Let
us also remember that the rapture will happen simultaneously and that in
some regions of the earth people will be sleeping when it occurs.
Will we hear the trumpet the last trumpet audibly or will the rapture
happen so quickly before we can gather our thoughts. Perhaps we'll stand
there looking at our Lord Jesus with absolute awe and reverence, before
we break out in rapturous praise and exaltation of the King of Kings and
Lord of Lords, then realising what has happened.
Again I say it will not happen as we may think, but how His Word says it
will happen and not like some movie "Skyline". Yes I agree that the UFO
phenomena will be used to explain away the rapture, but once again
remember it will happen in the blink or the twinkling of an eye.
Looking forward to seeing you all in the air!!
