"Re: Carol G and the resurrection story"
I don't think there is any prescribed formula as to
how to participate in miracles, such as, raising people from the dead.
All it takes is a grain of faith. And faith comes from hearing and
hearing from the Word of God. I can fully relate to the doctor's story.
It happened to me. When God calls you to do something, you just do it.
He will use the imperfect to witness to the perfect. I pronounced a man
dead (and he was DEAD) in the Emergency Department. But out of the blue
I "heard" a LOUD voice within me that said NOOO. And suddenly I layed
my hands on this man's body and prayed for life to return. Did I invoke
Jesus' name (probably) but I may have only pleaded with the
"Lord." Instantly his heart started with dilated pupils suddenly
constricting and color of skin going from white/grey to pink. There is
more to the story but you get the gist of it. It freaked the nurses
out. I was amazed. You see I am not a great prayer warrior and I am
sure not a prolific "spiritual healer", I was just faithful enough at
the moment to allow the Holy Spirit within me to take hold and glorify
the Father and Son. I told the patient that it was the Lord God
(another name in my books for Jesus) that healed him.
So
Carol I give thanks and glory to God for the marvelous work he has done
in restoring the life of that man the cardiologist prayed over. Praise
God that God can use our "imperfect" prayers and thoughts and actions
to do the perfect. These things when they happen always seem to suprise
me. Its like getting a good kick in the seat of my spiritual pants.
It's like God telling me its time to wake up to the true reality and
get with the program of the kingdom of heaven. It is at hand.
