"communion"

I am writing with reference to Jim Bramlett's entry regarding communion.  I just e-mailed you a note from someone else's computer, but neglected to give my name.

I have been taking communion with my husband almost daily.  This a.m. as we prepared for communion, the Lord impressed upon me an application to this fellowship by reminding me of the word "examine".    Just as we are often reminded to examine ourselves to see whether we are walking in faith and fellowship with the Lord, the word this morning carried another meaning.  When we go to a doctor we have already examined ourselves before he deals with us.  Jesus would often ask the people what it was they wanted even though He already knew their problem.  It was impressed upon me to tell the Lord what it was that I wanted healing for.   This was a personal word for me and so we took communion by faith believing what He has said.  Perhaps someone else will also be blessed with this word.
God bless --   EvanJ
