In reply to Barbara Bivin's 9/29 post at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/sep2010/bbivins930.htmwe don't know if the cloud that received our Lord Jesus Christ out of the disciples sight when He ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9-12) was a UFO because the cloud is not called a UFO in the Bible, and this Bible passage may be referring to His Second coming down to Earth when His feet stand on the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:3-4) from which He ascended in Acts 1:9-12 rather than the Rapture where we meet Him in the air. However, even if the Lord arrived in a UFO at the rapture in the air, He wouldn't be landing it on the Earth until His second coming down to Earth when He is described as riding on a white horse at that time depicted in Rev. 19:11 accompanied by His armies in heaven on white horses (Rev. 19:14). Our Lord Jesus did say that there was going to be a great tribulation according to Matthew 24:21-26, and in verse 23, "Then if any man say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there: believe it not. For there shall arise false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold I have to you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold he is in the desert; go not forth; behold, he is in the secret chamber, believe it not." So us believers won't have to worry that any UFO landing on the Earth is going to rapture us into heaven. We know that the believers who alive are to meet the Lord Jesus in the air according to 1 Thessalonians 4:17 and not on the ground. 1 Thess. 4:16-17 says, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall b caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:52-53 says, "In a moment, in twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we chall be changed" which is the time that all believers receive there immortal and incorruptible bodies that can never die. So it's going to happen so fast that you wouldn't even have time to look for a UFO in the sky.Our Lord Jesus also told the church of Sardis to repent, and "If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt no know what hour I will come upon thee" which probably doesn't refer to watching the heavens for Him but to be spiritually prepared and repent of our sins.I personally associate UFO's with the fallen angels, demonic spirits and their deceiving humans. My seeing a UFO, which I hope that I don't, would instill fear in me because I wouldn't be expecting them to be from our Lord Jesus Christ. However, we won't even have time to consciously blink our eye when the Rapture happens. So if a fleet of UFO's arrives in the heavens with fallen angels in it, and the UFOs take huge amounts of people up in them as deception to mimic the Rapture by not landing on the ground, and if we see people being transported up from the ground into UFOs in the heavens, then it is not happening in a twinkling of an eye and it is a deception to make the believer think he or she was left behind and missed the rapture. So don't sit around thinking that you missed the rapture into the air and were left behind. And if you want to be doubly sure, contact some other true believers and see if they were left behind as well. And if the UFO's land on the Earth and the beings inside the UFOs start doing great signs and wonders, we know that it is not the Lord Jesus Christ nor God, the Father performing these miracles but false Christs or false prophets since the Antichrist or the beast of the book of Revelation has to first reign on Earth for 42 months. When the Lord Jesus returns with His armies and all the saints are with Him, He stands on the Mount of Olives and it "cleaves in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north and half of it toward the south" according to Zechariah 14:4. So a UFO could arrive and land on the Mount of Olives, and a being could walk out and proclaim himself to be Christ but unless the Mount of Olives splits in half leaving a great valley in the middle, it is not our Lord Jesus Christ. Again we also know that the beast or Antichrist has to reign on Earth before the Lord Jesus Christ returns so don't be deceived by any false Christ. And these are just possibilities of how the fallen angels and demonic spirits might deceive the people on Earth.
