"Peleg and 430 year error"

Readers

I made a blatant error in my posts on Peleg about his birth splitting Eber's lifespan in half. read those scriptures wrong, which watchful Donna pointed out to me.  Here is what she writes:

"In reply to your 10/18 posts athttp://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2010/clay1018.htm andhttp://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2010/clay1018-2.htm while it is true that Eber lived 430 years after the birth of his son Peleg whose name means division or earthquake, Eber was not 430 years old at the time Peleg was born if you recheck Genesis 11:16 which says, "And Eber lived four and thirty years and begat Peleg."  Instead of that verse saying four hundred and thirty years, it is referring to 34 years.  This means that Eber's life was not split or divided in half by the birth of Peleg since Eber lived 34 yrs. before Peleg was born and then lived another 430 years after Peleg was born.  However, it is interesting as you pointed out that it is in verse Genesis 10:25 Peleg's name is mentioned along with the fact that the earth was split apart into continents during the days of Peleg and some believe that the Resurrection-Rapture may happen on 10/25 as well.

I love making errors in public!

I will only add that since Peleg's Hebrew gematria is 113, and that number is the age Lamech was when Enoch is taken, I still think in principle his name's meaning of " Division" still seems pertinent, and in principle the 430 years has it's place in the equation.

Thanks to Donna for pointing that out to me ..... kind of.
