"Paranoia, or Cautious Spirit?"
John and Fellow Doves-
Last night, on the
way home from dinner with family friends, we saw an unusual
"police-type" vehicle. It was a dark blue car, that had "Statewide
Patrol" written on the door. I mused to my husband that I had never
seen a car of the sort, what could it be? He looked it up on his
I-Phone, and found this link:

From the website:
The
world around us is changing dramatically and demands our attention.
Security can no longer be an afterthought. The consequences of
apathy can mean the difference of life or death. Security, for
all Americans, is now one of the highest priorities we can have.
Public
law enforcement coverage is being spread thinner and thinner.
Texas communities have become aware and alarmed by the situation. With
greater frequency Statewide Patrol is being asked to fill some of the
voids left by the depleting ranks of Law Enforcement.
My
husband told me of seeing a vehicle just a few days before, and another
friend of his had seen the same type of car, which has raised questions
for him. The vehicle he and his friend saw seperately had "Federal
Protective Service" written on the side of it. Here is a link to the
site, which is a branch within The Department of Homeland Security!

I
have to say, seeing the vehicle with my own eyes, I had a very "eerie"
feeling in the pit of my stomach. Then my husband telling me he had
seen an "out of the ordinary" type law enforcement vehicle gave me
chills! While both seems benign, so to speak, from the websites, my
husband's comment was, "I believe there could be a lot more to both of
them than what they are saying."
With the one we saw
together, it is a "private" company, while the one he saw is a
"government" department, we mused that it seems to be simiar to
Blackwater type organizations.
Is there a lot more to this than what the websites are saying?
Are we just "paranoid" these days, with all that is going on?
I don't know. But I know that I am a LOT more cautious than I have been previously!
Just
last week I got a speeding ticket. It was by a San Antonio police
officer, and I was guilty of speeding. I have a "bad habit" of
speeding, and my husband warned me that it was going to catch up to me.
Well, it did. We are using it as a teaching tool with our kids, that
our actions have consequences that effect EVERYONE around us, not just
ourselves. Because we have to pay for a ticket, this takes money away
from our fun activities. We try to use everything we can as a teaching
tool for our children.
Since receiving this ticket, I am
especially on guard now of my speed. But, I'm finding that it is not
just for my speed, it is for EVERYTHING! Is it a cautiousness within my
spirit? I do not know. I know without a doubt the ticket was
legitimate; I know the officer giving me the ticket was legitimate. But
now I find myself questioning so much around me.
I believe
very dark times are fast approaching us. If God chooses not to rapture
us before these very dark times, we need to be very much on guard.
These "new" law enforcement-types very well could mean us more harm
than good. That could be paranoia speaking...or..... maybe it's not?
Only God knows.
Be cautious in all that you do, my dear
brothers and sisters in Christ! We are in for the RIDE of our lives- no
matter what happens!
Looking up! Our redemption draweth nigh!
